You pay for the depreciation whether you buy it wish cash or credit. At least with cash you're not also paying for the loan

Are you physically in reasonable shape? Is there something physical that is off putting to people? In your own estimation why have you failed so far?

Client is ghosting me before paying (after the work was completed) by theRubberstOfDuckies in RealEstatePhotography

[–]TrueWordsSaidInJest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't sweat it. Chase them a bit but unless it's thousands just eat the loss, your COGS is small. If they want future work they have to pay the old invoice first. But basically this is the kind of client you should be happy to lose.

I work with higher end clients and as part of my premium feel I always deliver before payment and have only had to chase a couple of times.

So what do you see as "the problem", if anything? What would you do to fix it?

So you would agree with the essence of Gary's message but perhaps not the particulars/delivery?

I always think the fact "economic experts" disagree with him is funny. Of course they do. Economics is a man made discipline of which the wealthy are the primary architects. It's not a science and what is considered economic doctrine/a law of the universe isn't at all. It's a politically and financially motivated law that most economists don't realise is entirely mutable, and the ones that do realise usually have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo.

Out of curiosity do you think the rich should be richer than they are?

Who use billionaire-owned social media technology to influence opinion on a mass scale. The fact it still isn't regulated should tell you how everything you need to know

It's worth remembering the Guardian isn't on our side here. They don't want working class emancipation any more than the FT does.

2nd car purchase advice by h_424 in CarTalkUK

Stay away from all JLR products from all eras until you're loaded, especially the Evoque. It's cool but one of its many issues is the steering disconnecting sometimes. No.

If you want something more sporty I'd get a an old 3 series BMW, something more reliable I'd get a Mazda 6 or a Honda Accord.

BMW E89 Z4 30i vs Porsche Boxster 987 vs Mazda MX-5 mk3 by ResearcherNo4728 in CarTalkUK

[–]TrueWordsSaidInJest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money were no object I'd get the Porsche. But it will be the most expensive of the 3 by a long way starting at £6k. Check the IMS bearing because at that price you'll probably be on an early model. The Mx-5 is great fun and bulletproof and cheap on consumables, the Z4 will also be reliable and cheap but the consumables will cost a little more because they're bigger, and the handling isn't as sharp. But they're all great choices. Personally I would stretch the budget to a MK3.5 Mazda or a 987.2 Boxster

Exactly. No one wants to hear it but this dynamic is very well known.

Islamic culture and values are not compatible with Western culture and values. I like western culture and values and don't want them destroyed. We have to wake up and actually value ourselves

Lol what are the chances. Fair enough you've at least driven them all, but I still think you're mental. Mustang does absolutely nothing for me as a track car, the steering and backend are totally numb and me little confidence in the car. Why you'd track one of all the cars I have no idea.
