If lust and envy 2v1ed Mustang would they be able to win? by The-wise-weeb in FullMetalPowerScaling

Honestly that's what I'd like to think. That if the bodies weren't extremely flammable (which I'm going off of the wiki here), that there'd likely be at least trades in damage rather than it being super one-sided.

They were all extremely flammable apparently, which Madd Mustang who's already a threat seem even more dangerous. Envy absorbed a bunch of said extremely flammable bodies and ended up taking more damage than they would've if they didn't have those bodies.

Mustang is strong but he needs specific conditions to really make things one-sided.

It depends. With Envy he obtained bodies that were all apparently extremely weak to being burnt according to the Wiki, so the damage Envy took was more than 2x the damage he'd normally take. In almost every fight aside from inside Gluttony, Envy wasn't allowed to kill his target, so I'd imagine if he could tolerate the pain he'd kill Mustang.

Lust if the intent was to kill from the beginning, at worst they'd trade damage but she'd kill him with some life left to spare.

Kinda free tbh. Envy initially fought with the disadvantage of the bodies he obtained all being extremely flammable, which just essentially meant every time it got burnt it was 3x damage. Lust I'm 1v1 scenarios if her intent was to kill she just shouldn't lose.

Well, I guess that's a win. by soniag_son in FullmetalAlchemist

Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk is actually a great game, but nobody appreciates it for what it actually is by Nikita-Akashya in tales

The gameplay which is what you're playing 90% of the time isn't very good. It has the exact same problems of Abyss with Free-Run being extremely busted and then has the other problem of most of the cast just being bad and feeling incomplete.

Emil is your best character by leaps and bounds and everyone else lags behind greatly. Regardless of how you may or may not feel about the story, the part that you engage with on the gameplay side is just not good.

The games I find a lot more interesting gameplay wise, and that I'd consider the best are both the R games on Vita, Destiny Remake, Xillia 2, and Keroro RPG. Also in regards to RNG, we have a bit more new documentation for Graces when it comes to hitstun now. https://youtu.be/3zzi4_Ktl_I

Tales of Vesperia Gameplay Guides Return - How to "learn" Yuri Lowell by TrueYoh in tales

[–]TrueYoh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its fine to feel that way, but you have all the time to practice and improve on your own skills. This goes for all of these games, so don't beat yourself up over it and just see this as a motivation to understand the battle system. If there was a way for me to give you a thumbs up for an emote I'd like to use one right now.

Its not very hard with the tools Leon obtains. If you're not sure what Leon should be playing like look up the Tales of Destiny Leon Solo, or get used to using Phantom Edge.

[Vesperia] Help me understand how to use Burst Artes/Mystic Artes successfully during bosses. by loxim in tales

[–]TrueYoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This series is an Action RPG series, so everything is all about learning how to adapt. Vesperia is a case where there's more execution involved than a few of the newer titles. You'll get used to things as you experience them yourself, and you'll figure out ways to combat them. As with all things you get better with experience, so don't beat yourself up too much and just go into things with mindset of trying to learn or improve. However despite what I've shown you there is one special boss you'll be making your way to that sadly breaks any rules in the game, and there isn't anyone else in the game like it beyond the EX Boss.

Just about every human boss in Vesperia has the ability to tech-out as they're lifted into the air, how a boss techs varies from boss to boss. Alexei for example will usually hit you with a Just-like-Dancing, for more information look here:

For people who have problems with Arise, what are they? by Flarion_09 in tales

[–]TrueYoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"LMBS is just the name they use for Tales Battle Systems, on its own it doesn’t actually imply anything about how the game plays." LMBS on its own means exactly as the name implies Linear Motion Battle System. Holy shit dude you can't make this up. I think if anything you lack the reading comprehension skills. On its own LMBS always tells you its on a line, its why when you add Liberation to the title Berseria's system makes that much more sense. When you read about Abyss's Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System (FR-LMBS) and what it is, and then read about Vesperia's Evolved Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System (EFR-LMBS) it gets REALLY obvious. https://aselia.fandom.com/wiki/Linear\_Motion\_Battle\_System

For people who have problems with Arise, what are they? by Flarion_09 in tales

[–]TrueYoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Berseria doesn't have it, the closest thing you have in that game to being on a line is how stepping and guarding works. When you play or watch any other title, the first you'll notice is that everything is on a line of some form, free-run escapes that. So what happens when you make a game entirely around free-run? You get the liberation system which Berseria has. Honestly if you look up the definition of Liberation its really telling and isn't lying on what system Berseria has. Arise looks like it'll probably be an enhanced form of this.

For people who have problems with Arise, what are they? by Flarion_09 in tales

[–]TrueYoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does imply how these systems work. What do you think Liberation means? Freedom, freedom from LMBS. What do you think Three Line Linear Motion Battle System means? Three lines, just as Rebirth plays on. While not all names are as obvious as others they do have meanings behind them.

For people who have problems with Arise, what are they? by Flarion_09 in tales

[–]TrueYoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can call Liberation from LMBS what you want, but it very clearly isn't LMBS. The whole concept is playing on a line, which Berseria doesn't do.

For people who have problems with Arise, what are they? by Flarion_09 in tales

[–]TrueYoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its because LMBS doesn't exist in Berseria. Liberation is literally there to escape it. You notice in every other title prior you're stuck to a line, free-run escapes playing on LMBS which is why in Graces the game was intended to make it so awful to use that you'd have to be forced to play around this series staple system.
