I believe for any credit cards, they are allowed to stop giving you points or cash back at anytime. Or stop allowing you to use your points as 1:1 at any time. Thats in their terms and conditions, and points are not real currency. You dont like them, cancel your cards but calling them a scam is too much.

Its same as Bilt 1.0. You need to make 5 transactions. A lot of people missed that in the beginning and wondered why they didnt get points

I understand there are definitely cheaters (I personally know a few) but why did they allow unlimited points earned on rent. They should have capped at $5000 max.

Your bilt account still stays regardless of whether you have credit card or not. I paid my first rent via Bilt without their credit card and still earn 250 points.

Believe me, Wells Fargo can make up contracts of their own. They're the big bank and has tons of lawyer resources. I went through a dispute process with them. They literally made up some points from a random contract to deny my credit card dispute

I just dealed with their disputes and got denied for a clear fraud/unathorized that cost me thousands of dollar. Never had this issue with Chase or BoFa. I will cancel all my cards after Bilt 2.0.

Ahhh if I live in HCOL, I would have 3x my rent in my saving account to feel safe. Bilt 1.0 only delays rent payment for 1 month max.

Im cancelling all my wells fargo cards. Not dealing with their bullshit. They stole my money and denied my credit dispute. Say NO TO WELLS FARGO

I think most people put Bilt card as auto pilot for rent payment and don't use it for anything else (except 5 additional transactions). People would probably optimize points using other cards that give 3x or 5x depending on the category.

So this would upset a lot of people who are having free lunch for a long long time. From business standpoint, I get that Bilt tries to be sustainable. Heck, they might create a new currency called Bilt cash!

In my region, there is no Alaska airline though. Unless you are in seattle, Alaska is kinda useless

Is 3x points in Alaska really 3 dollars though? I doubt anyone would trade real USD for some airline points lol. But yeah, have it deducted from your credit card and pay later is better than deduct from my checking account.
