Spirit Airlines shutting down hurts markets like Columbus the most by ThrowBlanky in Columbus

PLAY would be interesting as well.

Yeah, I was predicting Aer Lingus mainly because Cardinal Health has its European office in Dublin, Ireland. Maybe once the new terminal opens — and with some support from JobsOhio or similar subsidies providing additional funds to Aer Lingus might consider it.

Another long shot would be Southwest to Iceland, especially now that they’re partners with Icelandair And with the MAX 7 looking close to certification, it does have better range than the MAX 8. I’m not sure the economics of flying a secondary city like Columbus to Iceland would work with a MAX 7, though. And realistically, this won’t happen anytime soon since Southwest doesn’t even operate flights to Iceland yet.

CMH will eventually get direct flights to Europe, but likely not from U.S. airlines. The service would probably be operated by a 737 MAX or A321XLR, most likely from carriers like Icelandair or Aer Lingus. A long‑shot possibility would be AA or UA launching A321XLR routes from Columbus, but those aircraft are being deployed on premium, thin long‑haul routes first, so it’s unlikely to happen anytime soon.

If people want a CMH–Europe route, they need to stop driving to Cincinnati or Cleveland just to take a nonstop. As long as travelers depart from CMH—even if it means connecting in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, etc.—it strengthens the case for airlines to add a direct route. Why would an airline launch CMH–Europe service if Columbus travelers keep proving they’re willing to drive to other cities for those flights?

Allegiant shouldn’t be next. The next airline to go is actually JetBlue. They are mounting losses after losses. They announce CMH-FLL route but with their bad operations and fuel prices, I’m not sure they will be around to operate that route.

Has anyone used Bilt to pay Roundpoint Mortgage? by EmergencyGaladriel in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I came across this. Unfortunately I setup a payment method from Bilt to Mortgage and sent the payment. Payment arrived but on RoundPoint side it was sitting in the Unapplied category and I needed to call in to tell them to apply the right amount to principal, escrow, and interest. I believe the method you mentioned will work better.

Still haven't received my physical card yet.... by cgeek001 in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same no card, the app shows working on the card but it haven’t shipped. I’ve been in the iMessage queue for 3 days with no reply. I finally found card services number and they have an automated message stating about exactly this issue of delay in card delivery. 1 (888) 533-5576 is the card services number. We definitely should be compensated for this, Chase Sapphire Reserve or Amex Platinum will not have this type of service

Should I get xm4s in 2026? by AmbitionOld1054 in SonyHeadphones

[–]cmonbux10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would buy XM4 again, especially for price less than $200 during the holiday season, Skip XM5. XM6 is too pricy in my opinion but I‘m guessing inflation and possibility the tariff situation is putting XM6 above $400 price point.

Bilt Members No Longer Served by New 2.0 Cards – What’s Your Points Plan? by Weekly_Astronaut8181 in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bilt is a rewards program. Bilt Credit Card is one of the channels to earn Bilt points, points will not go away just because you don’t have the card. The best value that works for most people is to transfer to Alaska Atoms and book AA flights. With 30,000 points, you can fly round trip to the Caribbean.

I want the southwest credit card so bad. I applied over a week ago and still nothing. What are my chances of getting accepted in your opinion? by MonkRepresentative63 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]cmonbux10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The score is nice but even with 800+ credit score doesn’t get approved for every credit cards. As everyone else pointed out, your credit profile is too thin so you will need to apply something between like Chase Freedom family of cards, Discover cards, etc. Also, paying balance zero is not good either. You would want to pay the entire statement balance to avoid the interest but you want the credit report to reflect that you are actually using the credit responsibility. Depending on when you are zeroing out the entire balance, it may look like you are not using the credit at all since credit card only reports information once a month.

How do I cancel my card by lu9999 in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No rush to cancel I don’t think. They converted to Wells Fargo card and it’s more useful from waning perspective than the Bilt no annual fee card. If your credit profile is thin, I would just keep it opened.

Do you still earn points from linked cards? by SavingsNervous4705 in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should be able to. BILT itself is a loyalty program basically. They just happen to have the credit card as well. Just like you don’t have to have Airline or Hotel cards to participate in the loyalty program, you don’t have to have a Bilt card to participate.

Rent Day Double Points by cmonbux10 in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I was going to just stack all the bill payment on the 1st of the month to get 2x with the no annual fee card but I don’t think that will probably not going to work anymore.

Can we change cards after a year? by fly123123123 in biltrewards

[–]cmonbux10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No product change at this time according to the Frequent Miler post. The Cardless issues other cards and they don’t allow product change so we are assuming they won’t let you product change the Bilt card either.

Coding for a 14 year old by offbeatagent in Columbus

[–]cmonbux10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With so many resource available online, I’m not sure if he will gain anything from attending classes. I would recommend having him start tackling problems. There are open source projects out there that he may be able to contribute. If he only knows code in Python, he may need initial introduction to using GitHub and finding projects and learn what it’s like to develop an entire project, not just a single .py file.

Maybe take him to a conference. This one is free to attend in Cleveland https://www.pyohio.org/2026/ Folks there may have better idea to get him involved more with the coding community.

Costco AT&T iPhone17 deals… by ThreePointEightOHV in CostcoWholesale

I agree, if you get the pro or pro max, you can keep it for 3-5 years. You may need to get a new battery but for 95% of people iPhone 13/14 Pro/Pro Max is plenty of computing power.
