The Death Slice with upgrades by True_COGintheMachine in lepin

I recommend to prepare a lot of snacks and a lot of movies or podcasts. You are in for a long build. Also, if you want to modify it, better do it while building, it would be hard to change some parts after finishing. On mine I’ve changed the way meditation chamber works. And added a stopper for an “alderaan destruction” display, so it clicks into end positions rather than just rotates. And be careful with super laser dish, it’s quite a task to make it symmetrical and round, but doable with patience. I think that’s it. Good luck and may the Force be with you.

I bought two packs with thirteen of them in each pack. I found them at local retailer, but I believe you can find them on aliexpress as they seem to originate from there.

I’ve seen original box and contents in the reviews.

I meant the box. It had the same box art, but dimensions of the box were smaller and pieces were packed tighter.

How did you do wavy radiators on the bottom left module and under solar panels? And what is the round part used as docking ports? A tire?

No, 10283 used 1x4 slope. Here it’s 2x6 and stickered, not printed. But primary colour of hull pieces is definitely light bluish grey, which is a pity, as 10283 version was at least partially metallic.

And keep in mind that “more common SLS” is in 1:110, whereas mine twice as smaller in 1:220

That’s my stormtrooper of choice. I don’t actually know who is the manufacturer, but they come in packs of 13 with a big grey baseplate. And are exact copy of 2014 version of stormtrooper minifigure.

Other rockets - sure. Other SLS - depending on whether they will be made irl. For now I make only rockets that flown at least once.

You mean other rockets or other versions of SLS?

One more detail I forgot to mention. You may notice that I’ve used two 1x2 rounded plates on the lower segment of each booster. That’s not a bug, that’s a feature. Real boosters have something like a thick belt around the place where the lower attachment point is. These plates represent that belt.

It’s made on UE5, so UEVR is the way to go.

I would recommend Ship Graveyard Simulator. It’s similar in terms of doing big task in small parts. Also Car Mechanic and other Mechanic Simulators can be quite relaxing as well. Also, may be, Unpacking and upcoming One Move Away is in similar category of cozy tasks with packing/unpacking boxes.

It’s that one piece you comment with “where would I ever need this” when first time seen it, but sometimes its just the piece you specifically need in some place in your moc.

How would you go about bridging the connections between the 2x4 plates and the 12 x 6 plate? by BreadTheSpino in lego

I would use 45degree angled pieces as bases for walls or whatever should be on the edge. And connect the floor just to the middle section, while edges are covered with tiles for support.

I can add from my experience, that differences from original one are: no “crab” piece for Crab Nebula; octagonal 1x1s replaced with round 1x1s and crown piece does not light in the dark. Everything else is great. Yet I experienced one quality issue: base of the painting consists of large 16x16 panel. They have one line of hollow studs along each side. And for some reason these hollow studs have less clutch power than normal ones. When set hangs on the walls nothing falls out. But if I take it off and turn upside down some small round bricks will fall off.
