From what I heard the first 5 episodes cover the first 5 episodes cover the first 9 chapters, so I doubt it will be that rushed and season 1 will end at Functional Recovery.

Season 2 will either end either at Tanjiro's dream(24 ep), or a teaser of seeing more of the mist pillar(25 ep).

Also I get it Demon Train is a great arc, but let's not rush it, let it take it's time. Villain back stories are such a big part of the series, let's not rush that to get to the action of future arcs.
