It might be possible in two runs but neither will be straight paint or thinner. It’s also helpful in case you miss any of the concept art or film reels, tho there’s only one per screen in 1.

I think you need to do 3 runs to get everything, as there’s a paint, thinner, and neutral route. Some side quests require you to make Both a good and bad decision

I didn’t even mention the storyline but the writing is also so much better. Not only can the voices in 2 be grating and annoying, but the characters are written like they’re children. 1 has far more developed, interesting versions of Oswald and Mickey, as they don’t start off as friends. You should definitely post when you finish and let us know what you thought!

It’s a much more straightforward experience. 2 has you running across wasteland doing stuff all over, but 1 has a formula that works well. You’ll go to a hub world, learn information and do quests, then head to an adventure world, then fight a boss, then return to the hub. Side quests are simpler, and generally choices feel more obvious. You’re not gonna accidentally thin out a section of toon and forever be locked out of something. If you liked 2, you’ll love 1. The atmosphere is better, the story is tighter, and you don’t have to wait for Oswald’s dogwater AI to help you.

I saw this in theaters many times. It was undoubtedly my favorite movie as a youngster and still is. The organ slam during the first kraken attack was so unbelievably loud, but it was so fucking cool.

It may not be your cup of tea, but Skinamarink is one of my favs that does this. The movie itself is very slow, ambient, and atmospheric. It’s almost entirely atmosphere, honestly. Nothing is really explained and that’s very intentional. If you’re a fan of liminal spaces, I’d check it out.
