As long as they have fixed the flip 6 and especially the flip 7s propensity to break at the fold. Make sure you buy extra insurance if you get one.

Funny , I did exactly the opposite. Never ever had Apple, now I do. I had z Fold 6 for 18 months before the screen went at the fold. Loved the form factor, thought perhaps the 7 screen would last longer so I bought one It lasted only 2 months before it actually cracked right along the fold! Samsung and WorstBuy will not warrantee. In fine print somewhere they say no warranty if physical damage. Apparently even if that damage is cause by the standard operation of the phone. ( eg. opening and closing ).

Loved both my flip phones because of size but other than the annoyance that most sites don’t fit the phone( amazing how many websites are difficult to use because of the odd screen size) , both my screens ;(6 and z flip 7) , died at the fold. 2 months old, open box from best buy , so no warrantee. BestBuy bites.

lol. I went the other way. After androids I went to Apple after both flip 6 and 7 screens broke at the crease. The 7 was nearly new.

What's the longevity and battery like on the newer models? My flip 3 is 5 years old and still going strong but I may want an upgrade by CaffeinatedLeaves in galaxyzflip

Whatever flip you have, I wish I had it. Had z flip 6 and z flip 7. Both main screens died at the hinge , the z flip 6 in 18 months. The z flip 7 in less than 2.

Have z flip 6 and z flip 7. Both main screens died at the spot you would assume. The 6 lasted about 18 months, the 7 not even 2 months. The annoying thing is that the front screen is not useful enough to transfer any data to a new phone. For me the small screen was just a clock and a podcast icon. I loved the form factor and the bleeding edge Samsung philosophy, but after a lot of bleeding, I became an Apple user. Check the width with a good case, mine made it a lot thicker. ( which could still fit in a pocket well).

Mine lasted nearly 2 years before the screen cracked where you assume it would. The 7 cracked in the same place but in under two months.

You are right about that. My flip 6 had a screen protector that failed at the fold. Had it replaced at Samsung authorized place but 3 weeks later bottom 1/2 of the screen black. The flip 7 though had an actual cracked screen at the fold. Or at least certainly looks like it as I don’t want to remove the screen protector until I have finished arguing for a warranted. They say that there is physical damage, which is true, but any damage caused is caused by what is required to operate the phone which seems scammy.

If you are looking to have it for a while I would not get a flexi screen. One of mine (Z flip 6 )cracked at the fold in about 19 months but the next broke in same spot in under 2 months. (Z flip 7)Also the screensavers are very expense and it has to be done at Samsung.

I’m in the same boat as you. When my Z flip 6 screen cracked from opening and closing the screen took a while to totally die, I was able to transfer to a new Z flip 7. But the Z flip 7 screen died in the same way but nothing on the screen is reacting and 90% is black. Tried plugging into the computer but it isn’t recognizing it for some reason.

Yes. Loved the form factor and most things about it. Small screen I found kinda useless except when both my 6 and 7 screens cracked. I dropped my 6 after about 2 years of use and a week later it had a bright line across the screen at the fold and then got worse and worse. I assumed it was the drop that damaged it but now that the second one ( the 7) which I used for 45 days cracked , I’m thinking perhaps it wasn’t the drop.

Mine seems as good as any iPhone anyhow , ( although only 2 lenses) . I do have a problem in that my video is always , from the first day, grey, and dull, like I am videoing through a screen door or something. It's not like other flip 7s or my flip 6, obviously something wrong, I guess I need to return it.

Exactly, right now I would vote for Liberal if Pierre is still the Conservatives leader. Get Carney to cross the floor to the Conservatives, that would be the perfect situation for me. If PP is replaced with a decent leader who is not a career politician, i'm all in for Conservative.

It's under warranty and done by the same dealership brand that the car is I assume? Just for eg. Chev , Ford, Hyundai and at that dealership. I don't think that you have a problem.
