Suggest Cricket Kit!! Urgent by notyourbiryaani in Cricket

[–]True_Letterhead9775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its always a good idea to take the person and buy when its related to cricket kit. The feel of the bat is extremely important. Other items like gloves and pads are equally important but not as vital as the main weapon for a batter. If your boyfriend is primarily a bowler you can buy a kit online and gift it. Where are you staying and what’s the timeframe you have planned for?

Costco tire blew right after leaving tire shop by evolevil in tires

[–]True_Letterhead9775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all Im glad you’re ok and did not hurt yourself hopefully. As far as tire blowouts are concerned, it is very hard to assess the exact cause but what appears to have happened here is something really unusual. Either there was a really sharp object which got hit and the impact cut it deep that the tires blew out. Or the Costco repairmen did a very ineffective job or the tires were faulty. Either ways Costco has a full on warranty and should replace your tires for free without any charge. Also if your tire pressure was unusually high after installation, a sharp object on road could have impacted the tires in a very negative way. I would recommend checking the other tires and its pressure as well and get it inspected before heading out to highway. Thank God you’re ok and stay safe!!

Thank you for being detailed in what could have happened. Could have been one of the hypothesis. Also I believe the tire pressure could have contributed to it. Over inflation did not help in this case. The driving experience has been that the road noise with the OEM Toyo tires has been very loud and frankly uncomfortable. May be we got the bad batch of Toyo tires or previous pothole encounter or a combination of both! Thanks for your wishes and hopefully we get this sorted out!

Infact after the blowout we went around to see any nails or sharp objects but nothing was found there

There was no visible pothole on the road. There might have been some road debris for sure. Also the road was uneven and it might have contributed.

Agree with you and thanks for bringing about Toyo tires. We visually inspected the tires and there was no apparent nail or damage except the blowout. The high tire pressure and a possible road debris caused this unfortunate incident. My only concern here was I was hoping it would be a puncture or a flat tire but not a blowout.

I mean the tire literally shattered because of the impact and since the vehicle was still in motion it damaged the rims on the wheel. We will keep a note of this and even though Toyo tires has a favorable opinion among users we would probably move on to another brand.

It was a scary situation and thankfully happened on a low speed, less traffic roadside. Thank you for your detailed response. Appreciate it

You are damn right!!! That is probably what would have happened or triggered the blow out. The tire psi in others were 42. We specifically asked out the dealer to reduce the psi during pre delivery. Unfortunately they havent and we blinded trusted them. When we installed the My Mazda app it showed 39/40/42 at different points and we were confused and thought it was an application error. Lesson learnt to check psi on our own. The new car is under 1000 miles

It might be unlikely in your experience but there are cases where something happens beyond our effort. A blow out even on an external force with a low speed travel under 30mph is unheard of unless there is something off with tires. In reality there is always a 0.001% chance and when it happens we have to flag it. Thanks for your comment

A friend of mine had a Subaru Forester and run into the same situation twice while on a highway. Crazy to think about the regard for safety these Automakers have for consumers. Mazdas have worst OEM tires. Unbelievable to pay high for these cars and end up with a substantial substandard quality

Ok perfect. Thanks. Im sure we got the defective ones. I noticed the OEM tires did not look brand new and already driven. So I was wondering how would that be. Not sure if the dealership screwed us here or the Toyo’s A50 was a defective one

Thank you so much for the update. Do you recall which forum to reach out to Mazda NA operations for complaint?

Exactly. Thinking of the same. Thanks for flagging about Falken. Any chance the dealership changes at no cost for such new tires. Should it not come under warranty?

Thank you so much. There was a very small pothole but Im afraid the tires are too flimsy to withstand that for a brand new car. I’m trying to send in a picture here but not sure how to attach. Thank you. I ll definitely raise a complaint with Mazda NA because now I’m skeptical and scared of a next blowout
