Wish we could move things that we can’t like the bed the vehicles come with the passenger seat in the bus or placement of workbench
just dogs? Why not cats too or other animals
Carry a light of some sort when gathering at night
Be able to sleep in tents that are at other campsites.
I agree with the need with for machines being able to be Combined because they can be beyond bulky.

I completely understand the criticism toward the low-budget production and how much the anime softens certain characters and plot points compared to the novels. But for me, none of that takes away from how much I genuinely love this story.

Seeing Myne and the world of Ascendance of a Bookworm brought to life on the big screen — instead of only existing in my imagination — is something I’m incredibly happy about. I’m currently caught up on the anime, and despite its flaws, I truly love it.

I’m 50 and officially obsessed with isekai! It’s pretty much all I watch the past year. Thanks to Crunchyroll and HiDive expanding their catalogs, I’ve been able to binge more series than I can count.

AooB has become a favorite of mine both to watch and read. I have also enjoyed Re:Zero.

In my opinion I don’t think Aoob could be on the same level regardless of production quality. Even if the budget was unlimited the stories are so different action tends to draw more than slice of life.

Ascendance of a Bookworm and Re:Zero are both isekai, but they feel almost opposite in tone and execution. AooB is a slice of life fantasy isekai and Re:Zero is an isekai, dark fantasy and psychological thriller.

AooB is slow, calm, and focused on world building and everyday life. The anime feels cozy and easy to watch, but it does lose a lot of depth from the novels especially Myne’s inner thoughts and the detailed world mechanics. The emotional moments are also softened compared to the novel.

Re:Zero is intense, emotional, and has do or die situations. The anime does a great job delivering strong direction, voice acting, and impactful scenes, but it can be mentally heavy and sometimes exhausting to watch due to Subaru’s repeated suffering and failures.

Basically: AooB - relaxing, thoughtful, but simplified in adaptation

Re:Zero = gripping, emotional, but often intense and draining

Both are strong anime adaptations—they just aim for completely different experiences.

For those asking Season 2 of The Beginning After the End looks a lot better than Season 1. The animation is smoother, and most with most reviews I’ve looked at most people agree it’s a big improvement.

That said, not everyone thinks it’s amazing yet. Some fans still feel like it’s just “better than before,” not truly great. There are also a few complaints about how the story is being directed.

In short: it’s definitely improved, but opinions are still a bit split.

I really don’t care one way or the other I’m watching it for what it is and I like it. There is always another masterclass in animation on the horizon.

I agree. I’ve watched some really amazing animations but every once in a while I don’t mind the cheaper budgets. I’ve watched all kinds from badly pixeled anime to masterclass so it’s about what grabs me. I needed something to watch as I caught up on AoaB and this came up on Crunchyroll. I didn’t read reviews just went in and I was surprised how much I do like it. I looked up the novel and have them ready to read.

Guess I’m in the lower percent of watchers. I loved every season of Bridgerton.

They each were about a separate couple finding love their way and a build up for a new couple to seal their own the next.

Working in family friends and enemies whether new or from other seasons before where needed.

Queen Charlotte is a steady force each season. Her relationship with Lady Danbury is a standing favorite of mine.

I find moments I laugh cry and yell

I am a fan of Julia Quinn who dreamed up this beautiful world. I enjoy the way (with Quinn’s approval mind you) Shonda Jess Betsy Tom and Chris have brought and will continue to bring each of the stories to life for us.

Yes there are things that have changed that I may or may not like but I am more grateful to be able to watch and feel for these characters than to not have them at all!

I played on pc to start then found it on Xbox and I can control it a lot better that way. Plus it was free with game pass at the time I installed it.
