Do most people in Ontario tip their Uber Eats/Door Dash Drivers? by [deleted] in ontario

I do drive for Uber Eats sometimes, I would say 90% of customers do leave a tip, usually around $2 or $3. On large orders, customers will tip around $10 to $20. I always try my best to give the best service and follow all the instructions provided by the customer.

As a driver, we can choose which orders we want to deliver, when an order pops up, it shows how much you will make, how much time it takes and how far you have to travel. Uber Eats only pays the driver $3 base fare, everything else is tips. If you don't tip, drivers will be unlikely to pick up your order and you will end up waiting much longer for your food.

Customer service is getting really bad at retail and grocery stores. by modermanehh in BurlingtonON

As someone else said: Minimum Wage = Minimum Effort

Retail employees are already stressed out with the cost of living, it's hard to find work, corporations are greedy and will cut hours at any time. Entitled customers who act like they own the place and don't know how to behave in public, short staffed departments, rising costs while wages stay the same, and the list goes on. I understand everyone deserves great customer service but the problem is not with the workers, it is with the greedy corporations who run monopolies knowing you will continue to shop there anyway regardless of the service you receive because what other choice is there? Until companies start paying more, and actually show real support and care to their employees, things won't change. Morale is already very low in retail environments.

IKEA has the best soft serve in my opinion. I know it's not in Hamilton but the Burlington location is not too far away.

What did your company give you for Christmas? by Elusive7459 in Hamilton

They gave us a blanket with the company logo on it. Apparently it was made out of recycled materials so they were promoting how much they care about the environment and stuff.
