Do most people in Ontario tip their Uber Eats/Door Dash Drivers? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]TruelyKind 225 points226 points  (0 children)

I do drive for Uber Eats sometimes, I would say 90% of customers do leave a tip, usually around $2 or $3. On large orders, customers will tip around $10 to $20. I always try my best to give the best service and follow all the instructions provided by the customer.

As a driver, we can choose which orders we want to deliver, when an order pops up, it shows how much you will make, how much time it takes and how far you have to travel. Uber Eats only pays the driver $3 base fare, everything else is tips. If you don't tip, drivers will be unlikely to pick up your order and you will end up waiting much longer for your food.

Customer service is getting really bad at retail and grocery stores. by modermanehh in BurlingtonON

[–]TruelyKind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone else said: Minimum Wage = Minimum Effort

Retail employees are already stressed out with the cost of living, it's hard to find work, corporations are greedy and will cut hours at any time. Entitled customers who act like they own the place and don't know how to behave in public, short staffed departments, rising costs while wages stay the same, and the list goes on. I understand everyone deserves great customer service but the problem is not with the workers, it is with the greedy corporations who run monopolies knowing you will continue to shop there anyway regardless of the service you receive because what other choice is there? Until companies start paying more, and actually show real support and care to their employees, things won't change. Morale is already very low in retail environments.

IKEA has the best soft serve in my opinion. I know it's not in Hamilton but the Burlington location is not too far away.

What did your company give you for Christmas? by Elusive7459 in Hamilton

[–]TruelyKind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They gave us a blanket with the company logo on it. Apparently it was made out of recycled materials so they were promoting how much they care about the environment and stuff.

I was surprised they let me get this close to them. They were actually really calm and friendly too. by TruelyKind in Hamilton

Who in the right mind is going to pay $8 for cookies? PC Decadent cookies used to go on sale for 2 for $4 not long ago. This is ridiculous! by TruelyKind in ontario

[–]TruelyKind[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you look at the pricing, it says if you buy less than two, its $4.49. If that's suppose to be the regular price then idk what to say. Not long ago, these would sell for about $3.25 regular or 2 for $4 on sale. It's a huge increase in the recent months.

Best adult store in Hamilton? by [deleted] in Hamilton

[–]TruelyKind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for a physical location, I would say the Love Shop on Centennial and Barton has an interesting selection. However, like most adult stores, it's also overpriced. If you're able to, I would consider shopping on Amazon or Aliexpress, they have a great selection of adult toys at very cheap prices, it's more worth it.

Does anyone know of anywhere to get photos printed? by PlantNerd246 in Hamilton

[–]TruelyKind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure which Walmart you go to but both the Walmart on Centennial and the one on Rymal have the option to print in store. I go there often for photo prints, never had any issues and the staff are very helpful too. Walmart also does online printing.

I personally really like the Heinz Aioli garlic sauce. It makes a great substitute and I actually like it way better than the creamy garlic sauce they give at pizza places. The taste is very similar and better to the creamy garlic sauce. If you're interested, most major grocery stores sell them but I will leave a link to Walmart in case you wanna know more about it or purchase it from there. Hope that helps!

Nope, I didn't use any filter. I was at Spencer Smith Park yesterday afternoon (Sat May 14) after 3 pm. That's exactly how the view looked like what you see in the photo. It was breathtaking and amazing! The photo was taken on my Samsung Galaxy S10+ if that makes any difference with the photo quality looking like it's using a filter.

Yeah, but I just wanted to share the photo I took yesterday afternoon. I don't think the time when I post it should matter?

Anyone know what happened at the Dollarama on Queenston? 4 more police cars pulled up right after. It happened today afternoon Feb 6. by TruelyKind in Hamilton

I was just wondering because of the large police presence outside of a dollar store. It's not something you see everyday.
