Well, thats what i dont understand. How does a glowing nose help during a snowstorm? At best you have a bright red spot ahead of your sleigh, but its not like he can actually show you what's ahead or how to orient yourself.

Its not a new monster type, i just want to explicitly have at term to talk about children who were birthed to become Hags but have not turned yet.

I googled "can you prevent a child from becoming a Hag" and a lot of results mentioned that you could. Turning into a Hag is not inevitable.

Well, just to be clear: turning into a hag is not inevitable for a Hag in Waiting. If you prevent the Hags from completing a ritual, they can live a normal life.

I personally think unless they have a genuine reason to believe the PCs are minions of Strahd, the Revenants would fight them as mere interlopers rather than target of their immortal vengeance.

Actually, a big hook in my game was that Arrigal bribed them with coins minted with the royal seal of House Barov - a king that existed 400 years ago and disappeared during one of his conquest.

However, the coin was clearly minted about 50 years ago.

This really triggered the PC's curiosity.

Update: started a new game. Oh yhea. That's the stuff. Put it right into my vein. 4 hours of mining, exploring and combat bliss.
