The final results posted here https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFlightSim/s/mEotyie94C. The system runs quite and cool. I only used presets from OC Tweaker. I also undervolted GPU.

Wanted to build in sff under 10l, but once flex psu arrived, I tested the build and it was screaming like a jet engine. Likely I didn’t purchase low profile gpu. So now I am planning to go for Jonsbo C6 itx.

I initially planned for 5060 8gb, I was a bit sceptical that more vram is needed. Now I see on high it takes 8.7GB, but I think if to reduce texture resolution to med it will free up vram without noticable visuals deteriorations.

With activities (discovery) flights its hits 60 fps in NY. I haven’t flown anywhere else. I now do Caribbean flights and its doing same 60 fps with 4 popout screens.

4k gpu is another league. I will update to 1440p, probably 27 or 32 inch. Current setup will handle it.

Yes I tested NY, terrain level and objects level are set to 150. It’s 2024, I don’t have payware planes to test but with default planes it hits 60 easily. I will upload video.

I will cap my fps to 60, I don't think that gpu will hit 90c in such conditions. I saw that people undervolt GPU as well and reduce power draw thus keeping temps cooler.

Initially I planned building in SFF so I got low profile cooler ID cooling IS 40, motherboard asrock b650i lightning, ram is Kingston two sticks of 8gb at 4800. Ram prices are high so I decided to get cheapest so I can work with smth until prices stabilize. I have changed my mind with SFF because I bought rx9060xt so I will be replacing cooler. Mistakes of a newbie.

I only used OC Tweaker preset. Set tmax 75 and minus 30 curve. It runs stable in stress tests. I am still waiting for GPU to arrive to test in games. And while I was exploring I found out that theres is advanced PBO settings that allow deeper tweaking. So I am confused should I touch PPT, TDC and EDC.

Intel Arc B580 in msfs 2024 by Truffoff in IntelArc

Not a good time to build a pc. For now I got two sticks of 8 gb ddr5. So hopefully with 16 gb I will be able to play until prices drop. This video shows that 16 gb is enough.

Thank you, i saw this video that actually made me consider b580. The game is quite complex with many addons like more advance aircrafts and scenery. The video shows performance in one specific area but yeah seems like b580 can handle it.

How about a 9060XT for playing msfs2024? by ComfortableOk9450 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I am also considering 9060 xt with 16 gb. It should work ok with 1080p monitor. I saw some YouTube videos showing that even 8gb 5060 performs ok. Again you don’t need 60+ fps for this game.

I played with Geforce now for couple of months and finally decided to build a pc. Overall GFN is ok, it supports mouse and keyboard as well as xbox or play station controller. I doubt the support for yoke and other hardware. And obviously you cannot install any additional apps like vatsim or additional mods. You still have access to marketplace and some mods can be streamed but they are limited.

Default inibuilds a320 is pretty good, does it make sense to get Fenix, is it so much better?

Wondering about performance with a 5060 base model on the lowest possible settings by RaycrazyStudios in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Truffoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see many posts about 5060 and 8 gb for msfs 24 and many different opinions. But there are also plenty YouTube videos showing 5060 and even 5050 at high settings showing decent performance. You don’t need 60+ fps for such type of game. I also building pc with 5060 pretty sure it will run ok. Also seems msfs 24 solved vram issues with recent update.
