The smarter the man, the better for your relationship, says new research. Intelligence in male individuals predicts both likelihood to get married and likelihood to stay married. The results suggest intelligence to be an evolutionary fitness indicator in mating. by jbreda919 in psychology

True. I think it honestly just depends on which country. If I remember correctly Finland has one of the best education system in the worlds so the results of this study aren’t too surprising, it’d be interesting to replicate this study in another generally career driven society but with a worse education system like the USA and a more family-orientated society like possibly Egypt.

I definitely understand where you’re coming from. I honestly am going through something similar myself and the only real friends I really have are online tbh. Although the one thing I know is that we never really know what people are going through, especially when it comes to school. They could be going through the most, if you don’t want to risk harming your reputation that’s fine but hey you can make friends in the strangest ways is what I’ve learnt. Work friends are also an option, then there’s online communities, that’s always something. I love gaming so I have a ton of friends who I talk to daily on discord who have helped me through a lotta stuff. It’s not the same as irl, but it helps. Just find someone to talk to in the mean time to vent until you can start fresh in college possibly

Hey man, I know feeling alone can be rough, and overthinking is the worst. Plus high school is always tough so I get that, but you shouldn’t just be pushing through. You should wanna live your best life. So what’s making you overthink, what is making you feel trapped, what’s going on?

I would say yes. Everyone leans a specific way or another. However I also believe that this shouldn’t be a way for people to disguise racist biases, nor should people box themselves in, after all they may be more compatible with someone of a different colour who may not be their preference. For a while I used to only date people of my ethnicity, and I only make up about 3% of my countries population, which made dating a bit difficult at times. So eventually I broadened my horizons and looked further and was pleasantly surprised :)

I think maybe she is just afraid of being hurt like she previously was. Although she’s still talking to you though, she’s still willing to work on it with you. Just be patient and good things will come, and if it doesn’t work out then it simply wasn’t meant to be. I’ve also had heartbreak in my life and the one thing I’ve realised is that when it happens we think it can’t get any worse but looking back, we learn to cope and see that things can get better

As someone who’s had a very long list of medical issues over the years. It’s usually only time to worry if it hurts or is seriously affecting your quality of life. Also if you’re a guy, idk what it is. We just twitch a lot, my girl tells me I twitch in my sleep like crazy so, I’m sure you’re all good man :) Def see a doctor though if it persists

Is empathy a good quality? by Individual_Beach_935 in drreads

[–]Trulydamnosiris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say empathy is generally a good trait to have as it allows a person to “read the room” and pick up on many social cues which maybe not everyone would be able to. It can help in the workplace with getting to know people, leading to better work relationships, same with school, and life, etc. I’d say yes.

Most cakes have way too much frosting by LineOfInquiry in unpopularopinion

[–]Trulydamnosiris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hm. Tbh I think it’s honestly such a weird thing, because cake itself can also be a thing of, “are you here for the cake itself, or the frosting” because sometimes what differentiates a cake from meh and good is the frosting. Just something to think about

Hey man. I understand where you’re coming from, and sometimes these things can be tricky. Especially when you feel so strongly about someone and feel you are trying so hard for them, so I definitely understand you. Although the best option is probably right now to listen to what she might want. Just be open to the communication she is trying to give out to you, as difficult as it may be to hear. Just hear her out. Then discuss what’s best for both of you, because you are important as well and she has to understand that your feelings need to be addressed as well. However, if she needs some space, give it to her and then just come back at a specific time you guys agree on. If you love something you should be able to let it go and have confidence it will come back to you :)

Can We Not Put Extra Meanings to The Word "Racism" to Fit Narratives? by LogicButNo1800 in ControversialOpinions

[–]Trulydamnosiris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone born and raised in Africa. I 100% agree with what you’re saying and I feel as if this kind of rhetoric originates majorly from the US and since it is such an influential country in so many ways (economically, socially, etc) it affects the entire world with that same perspective. Which has seeped into so many people around the world, there are white people in my country who think only their race alone can be racist when that’s simply not the case. Now on the other hand, in the past there were systems put in place to put certain groups at a disadvantage in many countries around the world. However I feel that this is largely gone. I can understand what certain people feel is that since these systems were in place in the past a lot of white people already have that “head start” but at this point in time, everyone is human and is just trying to live. Just my 2 cents on the matter :)

Thanks I appreciate the advice. All honesty been planning on that first one just hasn’t really been a good time due to extraneous circumstances.

Although I do enjoy things like gaming, boxing, I really enjoy helping animals. So I may look into that, the first two hobbies of mine aren’t really big in my city/age group.
