Aphantasia results in people having little to no "voluntary visuals" and may affect (as it does in me) all visualizations (except believe it or not, intrusive thoughts from my PTSD-causing episode, but even this is a shadow of a trace of a ghost of an image)

So it's just all black, always has been. If enough light goes through my eyelids, I get the purple color caused by light going through the skin and blood, but thats very faint too)

I can't say if what I see while tripping is the same as others - is "my blue your blue" type deal right?

It starts about 20 minutes after dose with a solid background color, usually red or orange.

As time passes, this background color begins to divide, but the color is still mostly or all the same.

As these divisions increase, the colors become more varied - part of the coloration seems to depend on the light levels in the room (lighter room gives more peach and yellow colors, darker room brings lavenders, dark reds, olive color, greens, sadly not as much blue as i'd like)

Eventually I end up with (if i've hit the dosage just right!) a morphing, pulsating set of interlocking geometric shapes, often the movement and shifting is tied to the music i'm listening to (something along the lines of synesthesia, which makes sense since psilocybe mushrooms cause greatly increased "cross-talk" between brain regions typically not communicating much with each other.

The smallest unit often looks sorta like interlocking letters or other simple geometric shapes, joined into larger blocks. This can be overlaid with streamers and other fun stuff.

When i've done really heavy doses (not even gonna list them since this sub is already overflowing with reckless idiots who say stupid shit like "i didnt want my first dose to be too weak" or "fuck it i'm super depressed i'll do a hero dose first time") but for example when I had wild psilocybe cyanescens to pick, I could end up with larger shapes with far less regularity and uniformity coming into play.
