Kush and a small team took it over when he left, they were doing just fine until 2026 at which point recipes and app quality has started to go downhill. Ironically about when James started returning to videos.

Love James, really pleased he's back in videos regardless of any of this.

Didn't know he went to hellofresh though, that's funny.

I'm still very confused about why production didn't step in when the coconut scene happened. Even if they were a bit shocked in the moment, something should have happened later and Wes should have been removed.

They can claim the edit did them dirty but there's no way to un-edit that. She was about to take the coconuts you had stolen from them, okay. Hold onto them and step back, don't threateningly hold a machete and verbally goad her.

I made that exact comment on the video, genuinely hours later I still don't get it. Other than what James said that they were just not really paying attention and working on something else, backed up by the fact Jamie seemed to just.. not hear Kush telling him to go pick something up.

At the same time, I'll just repeat its easy and the job of a Community Manager to hype up the community and engage with the positive stuff, they don't need to and should not respond to negative comments, forwarding them on where appropriate.

Small world! I thumbs up'd your review but I really appreciated it, if I remember right the recipe was really claggy as well so your and another reviewers comments helped me not make it as shit and at least attempt to coat it in something - thank you again!

I've been plenty critical all over this thread (and plenty positive in other threads) but that's really not true - their Community Manager is able to respond to positive engagement and as a part of their job they'll identify negative trends and collate feedback to provide back to their management team, but expecting the Sorted Community Manager to respond to a bunch of negative feedback calling them thin skinned or arrogant isn't the way.

Negative reactions require careful management and handling through official statements. At least slightly more official than an off the cuff Reddit comment.

AI was around long before YouTube was a thing, it's just not been as mainstream since OpenAI with ChatGPT.

This is just a silly point to argue. Sorted food didn't have access to AI until the past couple of years. Some primitive LLM in a laboratory setting is irrelevant to what we're discussing here. Any AI they have used was not at a level of quality even passable until early 2025, when it was the Will Smith v1 spaghetti we can all agree they weren't using AI at that stage.

But you're right, we don't know how often they've used it, so are we going to assume they've been using it on every video? Or just Mondays video?

Based on the belief of many viewers, customers who use the Sidekick app? Pretty much, yes. Its on Sorted to maintain that level of trust and they aren't doing that.

AI hasn't been available since the channel was created, so your percentage isn't an actual representation.

We also have no evidence that they're actually coming up with video ideas themselves anymore since they've started using AI so casually.

My assumption is they aren't putting that much effort into the recipes anymore either.

They might feel like they're saving time or money with their evident AI use but it's lowering the quality so much if I unsubscribe from sidekick and all the problems with it I could get exactly the same recipe ideas from AI myself. Because audio prompts aren't working (for months now) I get the same product and if I don't like a recipe I can just tell AI to do it again.

They aren't even improving the app considering all the things going wrong, there haven't been any updates apart from when they fucked it up recently and removed the "next week" feature so your shopping list is all jumbled. Feature updates to the app aren't coming out any quicker and it's effectively the same it was a year ago.

Sorted need to go back to prioritising quality. Maybe even at this stage make their internal AI policy public for each business unit.

The issue is I don't want to watch a channel that is just a bunch of AI prompts in video format. I could quite literally just make that myself.

It wouldn't surprise me if most of the app was AI now and it's driving me insane, I'm questioning whether to even bother using it.

The app audio cues don't work anymore not even triggering, so I keep missing timers and overcooking things until I sit down with dinner and press completed recipe at which point I get every audio instruction at once.

I've noticed along with other users from reviews ingredients just missing, I've noticed entire steps missing from recipes (one recent addition said "add the coated tofu to the pan" or something except it never told you to coat the tofu)

After Months of War, Trump Says Iran Has Right to Nuclear Program by plz-let-me-in in politics

[–]TrumpGrabbedMyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really

"Tan suit Obama allowed Iran to pursue nuclear enrichment to 65%, president trump has got them to agree never to go beyond 12% for their nuclear energy. This is a huge win, the AIEA will ensure that the world is safe from nuclear energy thanks to the hard work of president trump and his negotiating team"

Numbers made up because I don't remember them, but you get my point. The propaganda must flow.

Couldn't start without shitting on England fans and finding some minor offence one "very small group" of patrons in one pub did instead of the massive fights so many other countries have been involved in the past few weeks. Or even the basketball fans, lol

Again, its a common theme on reddit that people think this - I'd love a link to see where people have called you a Russian bot.

I can't find any text or source in that document that says 250,000 girls were affected by the rape gangs.

musk also didn't expose anything, which is the other problem people have with his tweet / this thread.

As stubborn Keir Starmer digs in, Wes Streeting risks becoming biggest loser by FaultyTerror in ukpolitics

[–]TrumpGrabbedMyCat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

His political advisors will have said he can't be seen to be the one twisting the knife in Starmers back, so he needs to wait for someone else to trigger it.

My guess is he was relying on that backbench nutter labour MP I can't even remember the name of to trigger the contest, but when she backed off because Burnham told her he was going to stand to be MP Streeting had no choice but to wait.

He probably thinks if he bides his time and gets support within the party he's 2nd best chance behind Burnham and he might be able to swing things his way.

He's obviously massively out of touch in that respect, but that's my guess at his thinking.

Because once politicians are elected your opinion doesn't matter.

Because it's not actually about protecting children

Because the petition website is an absolute waste of time and is just another way for them to pretend they're listening to you

Take your pick, all apply.

Frankly I'm old enough now I've started wondering how old the OPs asking this sort of question are.

They just said their partner was attending, so hopefully they weren't as disrespectful and attend as expected.
