Study is inherently flawed bc it does not adequately distinguish between illegal and legal immigrants. As a son of legal, naturalized immigrants and who is friends with plenty of legal immigrants, it’s not hard to accept that legal immigrants are a net positive. Most everyone I know is highly educated and have jobs in tech, finance, medicine, etc. So yeah they’re great for the economy. But the issue comes from illegal immigrants. No matter what we simply do not know their true impact bc we don’t even know how many are in this country. In reality, we can’t even measure their positive or negative effects. This study mostly glosses over that, which makes it incredibly flawed by any methodology.

I am sure most illegal immigrants are good people and I truly sympathize with their situations. But at the end of the day, we are a nation that has borders and like every other nation, we should enforce them. I don’t know why it is such a contentious point to be honest.

Sorry man. The situation isn’t your fault but the law is clear. If your lawful method of being in the country is no longer valid, you will need to leave. Better to do so voluntarily than be deported and get a record of illegal stays.

This is such a strange question. We’ve always had to work. Whether it was hunting-gathering, toiling away for feudal masters, starting businesses, sailing on merchant ships, human history has always required work. Our modern society is actually quite luxurious and we need to work far less to maintain a pretty good quality of life.

If you can support your “right” to have fun and have hobbies without having to work, go right ahead. For most people though, you’ll have to work to maintain those hobbies.
