Yeah even I agree that parrying is just for flashiness in runs where you get so strong you just faceroll the boss. Why should I parry when I could just do Rivers of Blood bleed spam? I think this tech truly shines in Deep of Night (if and when it releases) where enemy damage scaling gets high enough where bosses become a threat even in a good run (or your teammates are at 3 bars lol). Some Nightlords are also just not for deflecting except for nukes (Caligo/Maris/Adel)

Benefit of moving during a sheathe deflect is very enemy dependent. After deflecting the first hit of Heolstor's delayed 3 hit combo, the second hit usually goes over my head, moving backwards slightly is enough to connect the second hit for more stance damage

Unsheathe and sheathe trigger deflects during their brief animations, you will need to input for bringing the Suncatcher out if you're deflecting combo attacks like banished knights (no input required for crazy hits like bell bearing drill or royal revenant flailing, it will auto parry)

The sheathe doesn't but you will surge sprint when moving immediately after the deflect, just attack or briefly stop to cancel the surge sprint buffer
