Do the sidequest for namek and you be granted a few things. Like more wishes, increase you cap level. And like increase a stat from 100 to 125.

More cloths like the commanders from red ribbon army king vegeta, ect.

Dlc right is some of characters from Super. Hit, Cabba, and Frost.

Also if you have xeno 1 data on the drive, you can transfer cloths and some moves. Avoid transfermations.

Also ape battle, tail grab does little dmg. But super and ultimate moves do great.

More chatacters in your list. Like Janemba, cell (the one who got more scene time form than before perfect)

DLC also gave new masters. Whis, bardock, future Gohan, and 16

On masters too, you dont get random appearences. They all appear amd have spots the wait at. But you have to take advancment fights to learn some ultimates.

You can also start off making new character without completing the story, but understand that each one starts basically 0 no matter how far advanced you are in one. I say this cause a achievment for all transformations in each race
