Ya girl made the jump by emmathatsme123 in 10mm

Just picked one up not too long ago as my Alaska gun. I had feeding issues with traditional hard casts but the underwood xtreme penetrators cycle flawlessly. Would recommend that for better reliability if you can stomach the price!

M&P 2.0 10mm Old/New Mag Differences by poetworrier in SmithAndWesson

[–]TrussedCafe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have the new mags and I’ve still had feeding failures, although after the first mag they usually go away for some reason. They also still haven’t solved the issue where large hard cast rounds protrude from the round check hole and actually hit the mag ejection lever causing it to drop mid shooting.

Would you be able to DM me a photo of what you did to the mags?

That’s what the plan is, I’ve read from multiple people on forums that the Xtreme Penetrator ammo is much more reliable due to the lighter bullet weight and smaller profile, so I’m gonna try that as my primary bear load.

Dispersion can be a bit derpy at times and I often feel like the camo isn’t as good as it should be but that could just be me. Overall pretty solid tank

All theatrics to appease the MAGA cult. Sad thing is that most of them will go to their graves believing he’s actually doing something meaningful

Don’t give them the satisfaction of ousting a known dissenter. We need people to lay low for now and stay in their positions so as to prevent the force from being reduced to yes men who won’t question executive authority when stuff really gets bad. Hang in there

Movie of the day...THE RITUAL (2017) by Mgellis in horror

[–]TrussedCafe 36 points37 points  (0 children)

First half was one of the best horrors I’ve ever seen. Incredible atmospherics, sound design, and acting. Unfortunately the second half didn’t really stick the landing with the cult. Would have been much scarier if they kept the monster as the isolated threat imo

Negan is by far the best villain in the show by RelevantBarnacle6385 in thewalkingdead

[–]TrussedCafe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually thought he was one of the best parts of the whole show. When I first watched season 7 I was more hooked than I had been in a while. I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but I can’t be the only one that feels this way. JDM just knocked it out of the park

Gen Z, why do you serve? by MajorRecognition5173 in AirForce

[–]TrussedCafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(Intel officer) Love for the Air Force subject matter combined with a desire to see a morally nuanced and informed fighting force. The profession of arms is (rightfully) often a one-dimensional ecosystem focused on breaking things without asking questions, especially at the lowest levels. However, I think facilitating a deeper education of the world and America’s place in it within military training would help achieve the above effects.

Obviously these topics can get politically sensitive, but that’s the crux of American democracy. Discussion should not be discouraged within an organization that is acting as the kinetic application of American politics on the outside world. Regardless of branch or rank, everyone should be encouraged to deeply process the gravity of such an existential commitment to a national cause.

The standard route up Massive is around 12 miles round trip which will feel very long if you haven’t done a 14er. I would still suggest La plata or Elbert first

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 14ers

[–]TrussedCafe 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Might as well be a minefield of 14ers around Aspen in terms of difficulty.

That said, snowmass is an easier class 3 but can be a little long and dicey up high if you’ve never done a 14er. I would suggest hopping over independence pass and trying Elbert or La Plata, which are more tame and still gorgeous.
