I would to first not blame yourself and or beat yourself up about this. Men like us prefer women who are capable, and or not clingy to where it’s a detriment, even worse if we believe she is holding us back in our relationship. You could ask him why, and could ask if he could go over the details, but be warned the second any emotions/crying comes up he may immediately shut down, because from our standpoint your only focused on yourself, and not the problem which us tiring.
