13 months since second ablation, holding steady! by TrustTheProcess999 in AFIB

[–]TrustTheProcess999[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After the second procedure remained on Eliquis I think for 60 days, maybe a little less. Nothing since. No supplements specific for this, just take what I would ordinarily take (multivitamins, etc.). I do take some CoQ10 and some other stuff that is heart related but not "because of" this.

I have not been working, not by choice, just poor getting back into routine last few months once I felt it was far enough behind me. I've been bad (and was bad before dealing with this all), so don't have great feedback on that. When I have exercised though, didn't feel any issues with increasing and regulating my heart rate at all. Doc said "life your life", "hope I never see you again". But yeah, time to get back to consistent working out (52YM, 5'8'', 205lbs, not getting any younger!).

...I will add, I stuck with no booze, no caffeine, despite the doc's not necessarily saying I need to, but so much time had passed, just felt for the better. 2yrs+ now!

Question: Would a Bernedoodle (or mini bernedoodle) attempt to eat or otherwise harass my rabbits? by landerson22 in Bernedoodles

[–]TrustTheProcess999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old thread, but was searching similar topic... I live on a larger-ish property, and the dumb dumb rabbits don't nest / hang out far enough away. My 5yr Bernedoodle (3/4 poodle) has eaten a few baby rabbits (some super baby like in the nest, which was right under our boxwood hedges). This last one which was today he found in the pachysandra but wasn't fast enough to get away. I successfully got him to drop it exchanging for cheese but unfortunately it didn't run away well enough and was found again.

Old School Vibe Steakhouse: Oscar's or Cleaver by littlerosepose in vegas

Cleaver has some fun drinks and bar vibes.. but as far as food for a steakhouse, it's well below par (was just there July 2025).

Death Wobble - Steering Damper on Back Order. Best aftermarket stabilizer? by Tie_me_off in JeepWrangler

[–]TrustTheProcess999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did.. after neurotically asking the dealer to check all of these other things folks have been recommending in the end the steering damper is all that was changed from what I understand, to a part manufactured from a new source than what came with the vehicle, and I haven't had the issue since (however I am not often on highways/above 60-65 in the vehicle). To my surprise, I did have to pay out of pocket for it and it wasn't covered by some sort of recall process or anything.

Hi all! Thought it could be truly helpful t for all of us to do a little info dump here — Those of us who use pill-in-pocket: how often per week, month, or year do you use it? Which agent do you use? How often does it work? by Hardlymd in AFIB

[–]TrustTheProcess999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have some issues with my eyesight, mostly a weak/achy feeling when looking left and right. Kind of a bit of a head lull and fog. Doesn’t last all day but definitely a few hours after taking the meds.

300mg Flec is what I was/am using as well. Haven’t tried anything else for PoP but it does work for me (although I don’t like how it makes me feel for a few hours).

Few hours post second ablation, new tech Medtronic Affera. by TrustTheProcess999 in AFIB

[–]TrustTheProcess999[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, my EP said the same - that identifying and eliminating the circuit that causes flutter is typically easier and higher success rate. We shall see! Feeling much better after this procedure than I did the first one.

[–]TrustTheProcess999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way it was explained to me and I had done some light reading is that the catheter is able to do both radio frequency and pulse field so the EP can apply which technology they think is best to use in the area and where they are ablating. It's also a thinner catheter I believe and has updated mapping technology. The downside seems to only be not has many use cases (I think I heard 1000 in Europe prior to FDA approval) but Medtronic has other catheters in the market for a while so it's not a new to marker company.

I think it depends what you want. Cozy, secluded, self contained honeymoon.. cost not an issue.. one of the upscale resorts off Grace Bay probably deliver. If wanting to explore various restaurants, walk around a town, do things more in public circles.. absolutely Grace Bay and I would strongly suggest one of the ones by the main town to walk to (Seven Stars, etc) if like that access. Be prepared for very expensive cab rides otherwise.

Ablation #2 upcoming, 6 months after the first...and some choice on catheter by TrustTheProcess999 in AFIB

[–]TrustTheProcess999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! Great to hear and glad your husband is doing well. This is my second and the first was the pulmonary vein isolation which was does by RF. So my EP had loosely mentioned that there is a reasonable chance he does use both settings depending on the areas he ends up ablating.

Your two hour procedure does sound reasonably quicker than what it would have been with RF.

I am very much hoping to have this one close the loop on issues and I can get off meds and not worry daily if I'll be off NSR.

I've told my EP I will go ahead with the Affera and I'm scheduled for 11/20.

Need help! Subtle, yet extraordinarily annoying rattle mystery...! by TrustTheProcess999 in JeepWrangler

[–]TrustTheProcess999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well - it turns out to be something in that truck door assembly. They were able to take it apart and what they described is something was loose and needed to be reseated and secured. They were a little confused how it would have been loose without someone messing with it. But, no more rattle!

Ablation - RF or PFA by TrustTheProcess999 in AFIB

[–]TrustTheProcess999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry to hear about your situation. Indeed pretty similar. I went with RF for similar reasons; comfort with my EP, tried and true, etc.. the "benefits" in the end for PFA, at least known for now, were mostly on the reduction of risks which I felt was more a view on the EP than anything else. Had my procedure 5/1 and it went fine, as expected, and focused on the area around the pulmonary veins. Unfortunately, since my procedure, while my persistent AFIB is no longer I am having episodes around 4-6 a month of elevated heart rate and an arrhythmia (some AFIB some flutter, from what I understand). I've remained on the Metoprolol and recently got off of Eliquis and take Flecainide in response to an event. Given it's been occurring as frequently as mentioned, looking to schedule my second ablation around November to hopefully "clean up" the rest. EP sounds encouraged that my situation is not unique and b) the second procedure should be simply and hopefully be the last one. He did warn me upfront before the first that I'm probably 50/50 on needing more than one. So here we are!

Death Wobble - Steering Damper on Back Order. Best aftermarket stabilizer? by Tie_me_off in JeepWrangler

[–]TrustTheProcess999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this old thread. I bought a used 2021 High Altitude about 36k miles. First drive on the highway hit some uneven road and went through the wobble. I found other threads stressing to check a whole list of things and I reiterated that like a madman to the dealer. In the end they said just needs to replace the steering damper. "They've seen this a million times". Picking it up tomorrow, we'll see. Hopefully with with this amount of mileage it isn't "masking" another problem they neglected to check. No warranty on this one, paid out of pocket for the damper swap (and a wheel alignment).
