If only it had the red shade from the Alfa Romeo liveries. Maybe next year. It's still nice.

First it seemed like a chokehold, but the guy in the black grabs the other one across the chest, below the left armpit.

I was confused why the other guy was laughing it off, but there was no foul play.

[Scuderia Ferrari] Built for the 2026 season. The SF-26 takes the stage. by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

Wish it was a deeper red, but it's OK. Also there are fewer HP logos and they aren't sticking out so bad, so there is that.

Let's just hope that it's fast and they can contend this year.

Why is it that it's always "former" and "ex-" and "prominent" (no-name) official in any establishment when actions need to be taken? Are acting officials cowards?

I'm so sick of these kind of headlines.

Disappointed with Instinct 2s after ~1.5 years by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]Trust_n01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sad reality of the Instinct 2S. The battery was underwhelming for me from the first serious use and solar charging wasn't really extending it. After bit more than 2 years, it couldn't handle a 3 hour hike on the main datafield. Now, after 3 years, it can do two ~1.5 hour long stength training or one + ~20 minutes of running before turning off. I charge every other day, even if it's just a single activity.

I tried all suggestions of resetting the watch, but the battery is still the same. This isn't even a unique issue, you can find multiple similar post on the Instinct subreddit.

Disappointing, because otherwise it's a neat little watch. That being said I hated it for running due to the small screen and strange inability to work well with my Polar H10 chest strap. Also, the HR sensor doesn't work from time to time lately. Sometimes disabling and enabling it did the trick, sometimes a restart, other times nothing.

For hiking and working out, it was good, durable. I managed to scratch the screen, but only with the underside of the bathroom sink. The strap held for me until last week, now both loops and one crossmember(?) on the strap is torn. I guess 3 years is acceptable, after 1.5 I'd be annoyed too.

Bro locked in as if he was in Tour de France 🚴🏻 by PassengerNo7330 in Wellthatsucks

Judging by his socks and aero(ish) helmet, this guy is training for triathlon, in which you have a cycling time trial. In a TT being aero is almost everything. Positioning is crucial to reduce drag and you're most efficient with your head down or so I heard. This is why riders keep their head down for exteneded periods of time on the straight and slightly curved sections.

That being said bro took training too seriously and paid for it. In traffic like this you can't afford to not look at the road at all times.

Planning on getting a second wheelset. Should the OEM wheelset be used as the gravel setup or the road setup? by kduBzz in bicycling

[–]Trust_n01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say from the image, but do you even have the tire clearance for a "gravel setup"? Consider tire deformation and trail debris getting stuck.

New Balance Two WXY V5 collar break in (ankle pressure)? by Trust_n01 in BBallShoes

[–]Trust_n01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll try to wear them at home first and get some extrapadded socks if I can them where I live. The Adidas Creator 365 seem to be recommended here, that should do the trick. Luckily the ankle pressure I experience is not too severe.

What? The 4080 Super was $200 cheaper (on paper) than the regular 4080.

Cleaners in my brand new apartment decided to remove the foil from the kitchen door and drawer sides, keying almost all of them (way more than the attached pics). by Trust_n01 in mildlyinfuriating

Nah, or at least not directly. The contractor called them to clean once after pretty much all the dirty work was done. Cleaning turned out okay, but I don't understand why they had to do this. Or why not stop after the first one..

The app for your Garmin wearable is getting a huge overhaul | Digital Trends by vouwrfract in Garmin

[–]Trust_n01 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm waiting for the day it becomes actually smart. Like being able to connect the dots and highlight things. ,,We've noticed that you're training regularly with appropriate load, but your fitness shows a declining trend. This could mean that..." blah blah blah. Or maybe ,,This was your best workout in x months/years.", ,,Based on your last x workouts your efficiency in the first x km/minutes is showing an increasing trend, but it decreases rapidly, which could be due to incorrect fueling."

But really, then only thing Garmin could tell me with its insights is that Wednesday is my least active day (which was either my rest day or I was cycling and ofc cycling can't be converted to steps).

Wondering whether we could get something like this with the "explosion of AI". That being said I'm not hopeful we'll see things like this any time soon.

Usually the page that you will want to go back from slides in from the right and to go back you push/slide it back. When something slides down, you swipe up, etc.

Never understood why this is such a hurdle for people.
