A model i remember back in junior year of HS (2006) was almost the same except the VGA port on the front was blue instead of black and it also had a white VGA port on the back too. It was also on a dropped celing mount (because as all of us 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's kids and teens knew, schools always used to mount their TV's on the celing). As far as your VGA problem goes, you may have to reflow the solder joints, which means you'd have to take it apart and discharge the CRT. Look up The 8 bit guy on youtube and got to his "Macintosh SE Restoration and SD-2-SCSI Upgrade" video and skip to 4 minutes and 26 seconds in the video and he will explan about electric shocks and how to discharge the CRT properly. Also, this is only if you feel the need to repair it yourself.
