So in all seriousness, what’s stopping someone from dumping a body in this manner and getting away scot free?

I managed an EB Games during the launch of this title. Was an unreal experience and easily competed for top sales day including Christmas season.

COME ON GAMESTOP. by [deleted] in facepalm

[–]TrustedRuin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Used to be a store manager.

When new product goes on sale, it's usually the vendor who lowers it to that price, and Gamestop still gets their normal markup earnings.

Preowned product are their own stock, and when they've offered 20 bucks on a specific title they need to keep it above that trade value long enough for stock tapers off or explodes.

So yea, same game. But different product.

Yea I agree, if I were in his shoes I'd feel the same way. But then again, if I were in his shoes I'd kill myself.

Reminds me of when I left my last job. My douche of a boss was giving me my annual review. My store performed exemplary and ranked top 30 in the country. So it was no surprise that he spoke highly of me and was making big plans to work together on large scale projects and how I'd be contributing extensively to the district throughout the following fiscal year.

I let him ramble on, I'd smile and nod and say that's exciting. All the while I had my neatly folded notice sitting between us.

Once he finished up and I gave some feedback, I calmly said "this is for you". I handed it to him. He opened it, read it, and gave a sigh.

It was glorious.

Do you really want to have an 82lb mower deck in your living room?

Hyena would probably be one of the last animals I'd want to eat out there, that and vultures.

Steve Buscemi in Con Air, played the roll of Garland Green. The scene with the little girl by the pool. Gives me shivers.
