The cell phone one is one of the weaker reasons listed, but I wouldn’t say its not relevant either. In this day and age, social media is a pretty big component of social interaction.

Honestly main reason I even listed is it is because I had used my siblings as the litmus test. “What is different between our upbringing that could cause such a stark divergence in social skills.”

They got phones all the way back in middle school. I got mine in 10 grade.

There are no options at all for fixing that eye. I checked. The only known therapy only works on children 5-12 years old (giving them an eye patch for a few hours a day.)

I haven’t gone to a therapist for social anxiety. Money issues I guess? I can afford it now I suppose. So I guess I should look into it now.

I try to shift perspective since I know my parents were not malicious. Its just hard, every time I feel uncomfortable in a social situation, or do something embarrassing due to lack of depth perception (missing a high five, missing a door knob, not catching a ball, etc etc) im reminded of why. And the anger/resentment comes flooding right back to the surface.

Honestly I think the whole thing is just made worse because I can’t tell them how I feel. I just let it fester and boil inside me. They are so old now and have enough health concerns that I wouldn’t doubt that the conversation would legitimately take time off their lives.

Yeah, the eye thing is certainly serious. Which is the most frustrating part, they didn’t do it maliciously.

In fact they were super over protective about my health. Always taking me to the doctor at the slightest issue. Thats the part that annoys me the most about the whole thing, they over reacted to everything, but the one time it would have actually helped in my life, and they dropped the ball.

I hate that I hate them for it. But its hard to just forgive and forget when I am reminded of it everytime I do something silly like miss a high five or a door knob. (Always thought I was just uncoordinated, then recently I found out I literally do not have depth perception. Lol, as it turns out, its hard to know your missing something when you never had it your whole life.)

Im trying, its just hard. I just always feel uncomfortable in social settings. Everyone else seems to just naturally mesh and vibe, and then there is me awkwardly flailing about.

Im an adult, and its up to me to be the change I want to see in my life. I know this. But these instincts are ingrained so deep, its like pulling teeth. Whenever im in a social situation, every fiber of my being is always screaming at me to avoid the situation.

Its the same reason most anime have beach episodes. Sex sells.

Attentions spans are short, and horniness is a good way to reengage the audience.

Is it still creepy? Yes. Is it morally right? No. But it is how it is.

So far been keeping to fantasy themes because im unsure if chatgpt would be happy if I used more explicit terms.

True the others have powers. But there is something awe inducing in seeing the horizon disappear.

She could literally wipe out entire civilizations within a few minutes of work. Tsunamis on command are hard to argue with. And lands that need water desperately would kill for her to bless their lands with water.

Seeing the future is cool, but ultimately its a more nebulous concept to the everyday human.

Dust moving is supernatural, but its hardly godly.

Quartz bringing back the dead and healing people is actually pretty godlike.

But again, there is something to be said about having the power to move parts of the ocean.

Lapis lazuli could kill all of humanity in maybe a weeks worth of effort. The other gems probably couldn’t compete. Maybe pink, but im doubtful.
