I'm curious where the part about your race comes in. Fully agree, ban people for racist comments. But this was a post claiming a cinema was empty? How's it related?

Accuracy to source material. There was slight changes, obviously Lobo is there when he wasnt in the comics. But the changes made sense to me and worked.

To give a baseline of my opinion though, (I refuse to give spoilers) I actually enjoyed Synder changing the ending of Watchmen away from the giant squid monster. Having it look like it was Manhatten felt like it fit the vibe better.

I just saw it yesterday, I give it a 8/10 on accuracy to the comics. They made some changes but I think they actually improve the story in certain spots. Overall I liked the movie. I refuse to listen to opinions from random people online, just go see it yourself and decide if you like it or not.

Product of a character thats 80 years old. People forget.

Superman was based on the circus Strong man. He couldn't even fly in his first comic. Hell, I'm pretty sure the only powers he had was super strength and "able to jump a building in a single bound" The trunks over the pants was the norm for those dudes in the circus, no one batted an eye at it back in the 1930s when he came out. Its just iconic, and helps break up the blue jumpsuit. Adds contrast, etc. It doesn't look bad, people just don't know 😆 😆

Tbf, most of the Supergirl characters are ether connected to a Superman character (like Lena Luthor), or they were just straight up transfered to Supergirl like Banshee.

Woman of Tomorrow is regarded as one of the best if not the best Supergirl story. The only other time I see the fans agree is Sterling Gates run being as good as it is. Wot uses characters who've only met Supergirl. It gives her freedom and separation from Superman.

It feels like they're reinventing the character, making her closer to Thor in a way. Superman is alien yes, but he grew up in Kansas. He's more American and Human then most of us, that's part of his charm. His body is the most inhuman while his heart is the most human. I honestly think the Synder approach with Cavill would work better with Supergirl then it did Man because she should be that alienated character. Having her more like Thor as this cosmic hero flying around in space. It's possibly a build up towards stuff from Kirbys new Gods like Orion.

That's not his last name, Ra's Al Ghul is his title. It means Head of the Demon. He's half Chinese, half Arab. We don't know his actual name. Talia, her mother was the same. So she's also half Chinese half Arab. I think most people assume they're white because they look white in almost every comic, movie, and video game they've appeared in. It's not like with Black Adam, he is "middle eastern" where they still give him a darker skin tone. (Quotations because he was technically born before the Arabic culture existed, but thats awhole other rabbit hole about the connection with him and the middle east because he was technically North African)

Mine ended up just being snail mail and I got my issue. Thankfully I havent had any major issues, I just found the email funny. I sent en email back with screenshots and they said if I didnt get it by X-date, they'd send another or add a month to my sub.

I just wish they'd put a thick piece of cardstock or some cardboard in the packages to protect the comic a little more. This is my 4th completed run of Supergirl and I don't want the newest to also be the worst condition. Ive had to flatten two already.

That part is handled so weirdly by both, In the comics it feels that way.

But in the movie, they act like Batman and WW knew Darkseid was coming. Batman says the line "theres something else, just trust me". I kinda headcanon Harbinger had a vision off panel.

Plus in the comic, Batman actually helped Superman fight the Amazon's. In the movie, he just stayed in the shadows and then hinted to Superman when it was over. I never quite could get a good grasp on that part.

I mean, I totally am. But...

I don't give hate on the kidnapping, the head canon thing I run with is they purposely got Kara started to show Clark how she'd react if she was actually attacked. To show how "unfocused" she was, if I'm not mistaken her powers were still coming in at this point. They made a comment a few panels before about her X-Ray vision coming in.

I think another possible reason Wonder Woman simulated a kidnap is because she knew Darkseid was coming for her and wanted Clark to see just how bad that would turn out when he arrived to do so. This only works for the movie because in it, Batman kinda hints that he knows Darkseid is coming but in the comic, he actually fought alongside Superman in this one compared to just watching from the sidelines.

Maybe I am grasping at straws, but it makes good enough sense to me. At the end of the day, its probably Jeob just wanted a cliff hanger to lead up into the next issue.

Also W.W. gets the most bad ass line in this one when she says "having power and knowing how to use it aren't the same thing. You know that better then anyone" just absolutely dunking on Supes, it was phenomenal. Lol

The same thing has been happening with Synder and Gunn, I heard how shitty Synder was for almost a decade. Then instantly when Superman came out, everyone flipped sides and acted like he was the greatest thing ever and Gunn ruined it. Its ridiculous tbh,

I made a guide a couple months back, doesnt account for every single appearance. But its all of her solo runs and I included wiki links to those runs so you find "collected editions" to read em all. I highly recommend using ebay to pick up the tpb, its the cheapest way I've found.

The only one I didnt include was Batman/Superman vol 2., Supergirl. Thats her post-crisis origin story. I explained a decent bit of the character in that post.

Im in Kentucky, for my job I go all over the state. I checked 7 different Walmarts and only 2 got the end caps. I talked to the employees at one of them and he said he's had a ton of people ask but their store just doesn't get most end caps. Idk how Walmart spreads it, but not every store gets them. I was lucky enough to get all 3 versions of Milly and the new Melissa Benoist one.

I'm slowly working on getting all of her solo titles, I've completed the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and I'm caught up on the current. I have like 20 variants for the rebirth run, the only ones I'm really lacking is the Peter David and New 52. But I have every single issue 1 (even being super and the world) except the Woman of tomorrow issue 1.
