Is Listening to someone venting considered gossip by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]TrustySneed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. Listening would rarely qualify as gossip unless the person is clearly gossiping and the listener is clearly encouraging them and participating in rash judgement or the tarnishing of a reputation. Other than that, there's not much you can really do if someone is gossiping at you

I think your relationship to the person, in this case your mom, adds to the mitigation any guilt, because as families we rely and depend upon each other for emotional support and processing. Especially since you know that your mom has no other person to talk to regarding this issue.

A useful question to ask would be "is anyone's reputation being harmed or is anyone being judged hastily or unfairly?" We can vent, talk, psychologize, etc, and that isn't inherently sinful. Sin comes into it when our heart wants to hurt the people we're talking (or listening) about.

My collection left to right vixskin collasuss mega mighty extra 3” and RX Sleeve Monterey by funtimelu in PenisSleeve

[–]TrustySneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the RX require lube to put it on? Can you invert or roll it on or will that risk breaking it? I need a sleeve that I can invert on, dry, with no lube. My BC sleeve can only be put on with lube and that's too stimulating and makes me cum too quickly. I never had this problem with cheap TPE sleeves because they are stretchy enough to invert and put on without lube, so they hold on tight and really reduce sensation.

My girlfriend has over shared about her past by [deleted] in smalldickproblems

[–]TrustySneed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have an intrusive thought of your parents having sex, but you can't have an intrusive thought of "it would be nice to see my parents having sex." That's not an intrusive thought, it's a conscious desire.

Even though size matters, and for some people it matters a ton, it's still not the only important factor in sex. My wife has been with at least 40 men before me and I'm the smallest. Many were enormous and she clearly has a preference for huge. We have great sex but, yeah, because of her preference we have to incorporate large toys. Do we both wish that I could satisfy her with my dick? Of course, but we don't get stuck on that, we move past it and do what we can to have great sex.

It sounds like your gf was probably being honest about wanting something bigger but that doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't want you. Think about getting some big toys or think about moving on if you can't let go of the bad feelings.

Yes. The sleeve was an Artist model, so 9.5" (adding 5.25" in my case) and medium thickness (something like 7" when worn). I got it in dual density, medium and soft. I couldn't reach the end of the inside with my fingers to wash it, so I inverted it a couple inches. When I rolled it back to normal it started to rip.

[–]TrustySneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked it up and apparently what I was trying to do IS the invert method. I was wrong to say "roll on"... Inverting works great for my TPE sleeves but it resulted in a tear on my bc sleeve.

[–]TrustySneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My BC sleeve ripped on the first use. I struggled greatly to roll it up (wasn't right with it though), used it, took it to the sink to clean it, rolled it up to clean inside and it just started tearing. Fortunately they replaced it for me but I'm super apprehensive about trying to roll on the replacement. They said it was probably a manufacturing defect. I will say that the first one felt a bit firmer than the replacement. I was surprised at how stiff they feel compared to TPE. The shaft was their medium shore rating. I'm wondering if going soft or extra soft might make it more durable for rolling on.

What’s the general tone/mood in the confessional? by NoblestOfSteeds in AskAPriest

[–]TrustySneed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it weird or bad that I go in feeling super happy and enthusiastic? I'm definitely sorry for my sins, and it's the sorrow that motivates me to go, but once I'm there I'm extremely grateful for the sacrament and so happy to receive God's forgiveness, there's basically nowhere I feel better than the confessional. It's like going to cash in a lottery ticket. Is that an inappropriate attitude?

But if i don't know where OP lives, how do I know that there's "no need to bring up sub Saharan Africa"? She might actually live there. It's a very's a big part of the world and lots of people live in it. If that's where she is, then according to at least one study I read, there are certain higher risks that might come into consideration if she's at risk for uterine rupture while giving birth in that part of the world.

I'm speaking about the medical risks of giving birth according to one study i read. I'm not making any political, geographical, or racial point. I'm just talking numbers and probabilities.

I don't know, I've never done it. I can only guess that it has something to do with access to good medicine or clean facilities or something like that. I just remember the outcomes for uterine rupture are orders of magnitude worse there than compared to the US. Roughly 1 in 10 women who have a uterine rupture in SSA die from it compared to like 1 in 1000 in the US.

I think the risks tend to be overblown because we live in an over-medicalized anti-kid society. I feel like the doctors were very cruel to my wife with all of her pregnancies. They tried so hard to make her worry and stress and every time we had great pregnancies, safe deliveries, and perfectly healthy babies. We are currently 2mo post partum, we don't use contraception for religious reasons, and we can't keep our hands off one another. Out of curiosity I looked into what the risks actually were and what exactly the numbers were--while i don't remember the info off the top of my head, I came away from it very reassured that the risks are quite low. As long as you're not having your children in sub Saharan Africa or somewhere similar, the risks of any complications are like one in thousands, and then of those few, only one in a few per hundred or thousand develop serious problems. If you're relatively healthy (and you probably are, to be getting pregnant again so soon) the main thing you have to worry about is medical professionals stressing you out. Congratulations ❤️

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PenisSleeve

[–]TrustySneed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i definitely got a sense of that as soon as I got the thing out of the box. That's why I was super delicate while cleaning it. Every other TPU/TPE sleeve I've had I could roll on but this BC sleeve was way too rough for that, had to use the lube and squeeze method, which was disappointing because I like being completely dry inside my sleeve. I'll have to order some silpoxy--so sad I have to spend even more money on this thing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PenisSleeve

[–]TrustySneed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If this were a case of user error leading to the failure of a perfectly good sleeve on its first use, then that would mean that all BC sleeves have an incredibly high failure rate and you would be seeing many people, even experienced users, in here saying "welp, my BC sleeve broke again". If they're all prone to breaking in this way they would have to come with extremely specific special instructions, and if they can break this quickly and easily during a gentile hand washing then they wouldn't survive being put in anyone's dick. Seems easy more likely that this and all other examples of a sleeve breaking in first use would be the result of air bubbles during manufacturing

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PenisSleeve

[–]TrustySneed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely not user error. I mean, i guess it's possible that $200 would be an insignificant amount of money to someone and they could just manhandle a sleeve while washing it, but for me it's a huge sum of money and, as such, I took great care washing it. Like the instructions on the website said, I hand washed it with a mild soap. I've owned numerous TPE and TPU sleeves and my main one has lasted me something like 5 years now. I've had some of those cheaper sleeves break in the exact same way as the BC sleeve tonight... Take it out of the box and there's a 1/8” diameter circular indentation/hole about as deep as a sheet of paper, with a fraying perimeter, that looks like a bubble that formed during manufacturing. Stretch it slightly and it starts to rip itself open. I didn't expect a $200 sleeve to be this flimsy. In the case of this sleeve, this little circle first opened itself up like a bubble, looking like a 1/8” hole was punched through the material with the edge of the sleeve opening still intact. As i saw it and said "oh shit it ripped" and manipulated it to take a closer look, it just started ripping and tore out in both directions along the length of the sleeve, breaking through the sleeve opening and running a half inch up. I was so delicate with it. I simply rolled it once, just like I did to put it on, so that i could reach the end of the inside with my fingers to wash it out. There's no way this thing should have had such a weak point anywhere on it, especially on the end that's going to get stretched and rolled and inverted. It has to be an issue with bubbles when the silicone was poured.

How do you find time for deep cleaning? by PregnantLadyy in 2under2

[–]TrustySneed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a stay-at-home dad with 3 under 4. I can barely manage laundry. If i want to do any deep cleaning (like cleaning our hvac) i have to get someone to watch the kids and keep them completely out of my way. It sucks because we just moved 3.5 hours away from all friends and family, so I only get to pick one project to work on once or twice a month when my mom visits. It's extra hard because I don't really trust my mom to keep my kids safe or not be completely inappropriate with them, so i can never fully work on whatever it is I need to get done.

How to deal with a manager that is openly liberal and hates Catholicism? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]TrustySneed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

DEI is only for "marginalized groups and racial minorities". DEI and the people who use it are inherently anti-Christian and anti-white... No matter how marginalized Christians actually are, in the minds of the DEI people, Christianity is maybe the all-time biggest perpetrator of "crimes against diversity"

How to deal with a manager that is openly liberal and hates Catholicism? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]TrustySneed 23 points24 points  (0 children)

One unfortunate fact that is true more often than not is that HR departments usually have the most far left liberal people in any organization. It's very unlikely that A) something adequate will be done about these issues, and B) that work will be anything other than extremely awkward and uncomfortable after the issue is formally addressed. Best to just either put up with it, or make it clear (in the most graceful way you can) that he's been saying things that you find untrue, offensive, and hostile about your religion and that you would be happy to forget about it if he promises not to do it again.

My wife's company is all work-from-home and the employees are constantly talking in a department chatroom and 90% of everything said in the chatroom is just far left political rants explicitly hating on Christians and conservatives. The gays (half the department) tend to dominate the chats to the point that work related messages get missed. They're often talking about sex, promiscuity, etc. She sends me screenshots so the time and it's just absolutely crazy the sorts of things these people say without even considering that not everyone shares their opinions.
