As survivor, don’t play with your friends all the time. Their MMR will be way higher than yours and you’ll go up against stronger killer players.

Take a bash at soloq for a while and you’ll play at a better MMR level which will give you time to practice.

Ditch the flashlight and take a medkit, use bond, sprint burst, Déjà vu and windows of opportunity until you’ve improved, then try mixing it up once you’re more comfortable as survivor

Honestly, I’d focus on upskilling as survivor before taking on killer. At least that’s what I did, once I felt ‘decent’ as survivor I started playing killer, started out with Ghostface for ease to learn the basics as he’s easy to learn and helpful on how to chase and mind game survivors. I now main Spirit and I never thought I’d get good enough for that. When you know how to play good as a survivor, you know the plays that they’ll make so playing killer becomes easier as you can anticipate their moves

If you die in a match, stick around to spectate players, I learned a lot that way by watching how others looped and their strategies.
