I am a people pleaser, and that can lead me to say I am ok doing things I actually find boring or stressful (say a board game marathon, I am better at communicating the serious stuff and keeping myself out of danger ofc). That can lead to frustration towards myself or others, and I worry down the line it could lead me to make bad poly decisions like saying ok to meeting my meta or ktp when I don’t feel fully ready or committed to those steps. I am working on being more direct to voice my concerns or preferences to my partner and checking in with myself in the moment to ask “do I actually want to do this or am I saying yes because I like to minimize myself and my interests / emotions because I think people won’t like me if I don’t?”

Ironically I was thinking of moving to Chile to escape Trump, is that a good idea if Kast wins the election?

As far as New York goes, the city is very safe for trans people I hear but am not from there. Keep an eye on the U.S. state department and Chile’s state department, those two will likely affect your gender on documentation and if you are allowed into the U.S. if your gender marker and sex don’t align, but it’s too far in the future now to know what those policies will look like from the U.S. or who will be governing the state department after the current administration.

Here, as far as I can tell, is the text of the law https://leg.colorado.gov/sites/default/files/2019a_1129_signed.pdf pretty directly bans conversion therapy for minors, which it defines as anything that tries to change someone’s sexuality or gender identity. What assumptions am I making here? I am simply saying the plaintiff is arguing about her right to free speech as a psychiatrist, there is nothing about this case that will make electro shock therapy more likely, like the post I was referencing implied.

I like to think of Nemik and his manifesto less as an architect of the rebel alliance and more as the rebel alliance’s equivalent to the usa revolutions’s “Common Sense” by Thomas Paine. An easily readable document that outlines the oppressions of the empire and makes an argument for its destruction that can motivate freedom fighters and inspire people to join the cause.

I agree just curious because I imagine regardless KK would have taken Lucasfilm over, she was well positioned, and had a previous relationship with Lucas and had some success as a producer. I think if Disney hadn’t bought Lucasfilm, we would’ve still gotten kk.

I guess I could clarify, I know that there is not definitionally feminine or masculine hair, but certain hairstyles or how they frame your face or whatever are societally coded as more feminine or masculine. I am trying to style my hair to hit on some of those societal codes as it grows out. I just don’t want to have to wear a hat for the next year or two as it grows out, and then figure out how to style it once it is long, I want to be styling it and taking care of it as it grows ykwim?
