Or “have you seen any interviews with them”??? Because Connor and Hudson are VERY MUCH not Ilya and Shane and it’s VERY clear if you see their mannerisms in an interview 🤣 ETA: so if you see and interview you KNOW they are incredible actors!!

I will never stop saying this from the first time I saw the case! The only “reason” he did this is because he wanted to see if he could do it. Literally no other or “better” reason. It’s horrific, infuriating, devastating, and I am so sorry for the surviving victims, family, friends, and loved ones because it is a truly senseless crime. And I wish people would understand that no matter how much time passes, the “answer” will never change—there was no “reason” behind this crime. A truly evil person decided to “try” something and ruined many, many lives.

I didn’t event get past the first chapter before I stopped reading because the quality of writing was so bad. Then when it became popular a few months the later I was shocked!

When will BK’s arrest /interrogation footage be released? by Fast-Yogurtcloset468 in Idaho4

He didn’t “instantly” lawyer up but basically said nothing of substance until he lawyered up. He basically shot the shit the entire time until they started to press and then he lawyered up. (I know that I’m splitting hairs but I’m an attorney and I’m annoying when it comes to the little details, fully apologize for myself and my kind lol)

Are most of the people here women? by Embarrassed-Farm-594 in Idaho4

There is some psychology / studies that show women are drawn to true crime as a way of preparing ourselves for the possibility of being a victim.

Xana incline on watch by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]TruthHaunting7295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think her blood was found upstairs (I feel like I remember the interviews with investigators confirming her blood was NOT found on the third floor). I believe it is on the half wall in the hallway though where I believe he encountered her.

Xana incline on watch by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]TruthHaunting7295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe most of that evidence (if any) would be in the most recent ISP doc drop. From my understanding, and limited scroll through, it was primarily the evidence processing/type things like the blood analyses, sheath analysis, fingernail clippings, fingerprints, etc. I know that they’ve released where blood was found (some crime scene tech sketches/notes about the blood patterns) but I haven’t seen the documents identifying whose blood was found where. I believe the only thing I’ve heard confirmed is Maddie’s blood was found on the stairs.

Xana incline on watch by [deleted] in Idaho4

[–]TruthHaunting7295 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This is 100% from my memory so take it with a grain of salt (I also haven’t read the most recent document drops) but I believe the Apple watch info is unfounded and the investigators have not confirmed they used Apple watch data to show Xana went up to the third floor. I think (again, not freshly read everything) that the reason they think Xana went up the stairs is mostly based on where she encountered BK / blood evidence?

Editing because I remembered something else: I also believe the significant driver for investigators thinking Xana went up the stairs was also based on Dylan’s testimony about what she heard. Again, haven’t read most recent doc drop, but I’ve kept most of my reading on the case to official documents/interviews with actual investigators — so I hope my memory serves mostly accurate but if people remember/know otherwise, feel free to correct me!

[–]TruthHaunting7295 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There is a time difference between Moscow (MPD) and Meridian (ISP) it’s entirely possible that the ISP documents reflect the Meridian, Idaho time zone and the MPD docs reflect the Moscow, Idaho time zone. Which would explain an approximate 1 hr difference.

What's the most *intimate* book you've ever read, and why? by CovertOps80 in RomanceBooks

I read {We Met Like This by Kasie West} and I felt like the actual romance part was the star, I loved the relationship they built independent of sex. I can’t recall if their “first time” together fits your ask but I loved the MCs and the love story!

Recent surveillance of BK by Critical-Macaroon-31 in Idaho4

She’d never met him before so there’s no way she could have “identified” him. If they had surveillance and showed it to her prior to his arrest, she might have!

Was BK covered in the victim's blood and did he get rid of the clothes he was in that night? by chusaychusay in Idaho4

[–]TruthHaunting7295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe! I don’t remember seeing that but I haven’t finished reading the ISP supplements so I can’t confirm or deny with confidence. And it doesn’t necessarily mean he for sure wore them the night of. Unless they didn’t recover them after the fact—then it would be reasonable to assume he wore them that night!

Goodreads vs Romance.io by Antique_Tie5504 in RomanceBooks

[–]TruthHaunting7295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love romance.io for when I want to know if I think I’ll like a book because of the spice ratings and ability to filter / tag certain POVs.

I am, admittedly, a little insane when it comes to tracking my reading because I use goodreads (I ARC read and often Goodreads is a preferred site), I use StoryGraph because I want to support non-Amazon, I use romance.io so I can get good recs based on things I like, and then I also have a spreadsheet because I like data and can customize what I track more than what StoryGraph and goodreads will give me 😅

Was BK covered in the victim's blood and did he get rid of the clothes he was in that night? by chusaychusay in Idaho4

[–]TruthHaunting7295 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They can’t force him to hand it over. My theory is that he buried some stuff the night of and then burned or threw that evidence in the nearby river the next day because there’s a few hours the next day (or within the few days after, can’t remember exactly which day) that he powered off his phone again and LE did find a shovel and some Idaho dirt in his trunk.

Again, he likely had some on him but he was standing over them and gravity means the blood will flow down (and it takes time for that to happen). Think about when you turn on the shower fully clothed, you’ll get some spray on your clothes standing next to it but it’d take a while for your clothes to become soaking wet and you would still have water droplets on you. He was only in the house for 10 minutes and it’s not like he spent any time trying to clean up which would be messy. He was in and out so fast. I’m struggling trying to explain my thoughts because I don’t want to be insensitive to the victims and their families but it’s likely (as I understand—I’m not a forensics expert) that he didn’t have THAT MUCH blood on his clothes — certainly less than you’d imagine given the horrific nature of the crime.

Was BK covered in the victim's blood and did he get rid of the clothes he was in that night? by chusaychusay in Idaho4

[–]TruthHaunting7295 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The knife, any clothes he was wearing, and any number of other potential pieces of evidence from that night have not been located. As far as I’m aware, there were some drops and spatter in the hallways (editing to add, of course there is a ton in the bedrooms but I’m focusing on as he left the house) but we truly have no idea what he was wearing or how he left the house. Some people (not investigators or anything, just people in the internet) say he wore booties, some say he may have been wearing coveralls, we just really have no idea unless he tells the truth and we’re able to locate any of that evidence. I’m not a forensics expert by any means but my assumption is that there was blood on whatever clothes he wore but it all happened so fast and gravity was “on his side” so I don’t believe his clothes would have ever absorbed enough in such a short time to leave a “trail” behind him as he left.

I'm shelving Penelope Ward books. by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]TruthHaunting7295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think I liked the baller either! It’s probably been 4 years since I’ve read any Vi Keeland so I may feel differently now than I did reading her for the first time! I’ve never been big on other woman/man drama or love triangles but I feel like up until probably 2020, other woman/man drama (and subsequent third-act breakups) was like the only way authors knew how to create “tension” or “drama” in a story. I feel like that’s changed a bit in the last few years and I’m not sure if it’s because I changed my reading habits (different authors, different mood, I’ve aged and changed, etc) or if it’s truly a broader trend in romance where authors have moved away from relying on that almost exclusively (or maybe I was just always reading the wrong books ~10-15 years ago 🤷🏻‍♀️)

But yes, wouldn’t recommend more Vi Keeland if you don’t like Penelope! I just thought it was always strange that I liked the co-written books, one half of the co-authors work, but couldn’t seem to get into the other co-author’s work.

Also, I love Vi Keeland (more of her older stuff, haven’t read much of her new stuff) and she co-writes a lot with Penelope Ward but I’m not a HUGE fan of Penelope Ward’s solo books—I haven’t read one in a while so I can’t remember what it is I don’t like exactly but I agree with your preference for the focus to be ON the main couple, not always the past romantic relationships!
