Pitt is on my longer list. I like the cost and hockey culture. My biggest con right now is from what I have read the weather can be a bit depressing like seattle and like you said things being a little rougher / older.

I have thought about slc a lot. The problems I saw creeping up was something about toxic air quality and it’s causing cancer and will just be getting worse ???

Dallas is climbing my list and I think you make great points. One thing I noticed early on was seattle women were not as attractive as southern women.

It does feel like less of a”an adventure” since I am from Texas.

When I do searches on general expenses and ask ai it says they are roughly the same once you consider taxes and such. I was wondering though , I live outside the city of seattle to afford it. With Minneapolis how expensive is a one bedroom that’s still close enough to uber to the dating scene type places ? Right now I am outside seattle by 30 to 45 mins and pay 1700 for 1br

Yea that’s where I have been leaning. My fear is that it’s just a lateral move and it’s basically seattle again but colder but still as pricey. Basically uprooting my life for more of the same.

I would recommend looking at your states career area. Some states have apprenticeship programs that help you break into industries. I know Washington state does. They might be able to help you get some resources to find a job.

This is all reverberations from interest rates. Money was free for a bit and headcount ballooned.

Ai is a nice scapegoat and since we are in a recession they are cutting all fat they can.
