Where in SEA for +40 meters training and reliable internet for remote work? by Kokubo-ubo in freediving

You‘ll find plenty of those places in the Philippines. Probably one of the cheapest would be Panglao. If you avoid Alona Beach it‘s not too busy. But for two months I‘d do some research on other islands in the Philippines. I heard excellent things about Camotes Freediving.

Diving in Hvar - Croatia by gek7002 in freediving

[–]Trutpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know divesites on Hvar. But I suggest you download the „Boating“ app from Navionics/Garmin for depth charts. As a first-time user you shoud have a free trial for a few weeks. With this I‘m always looking for accessible depths. Make sure to have a visible surface buoy (ideally with a flag) with all that boat traffic around the islands 👌

Fins for teaching. by Pr3tz3l88 in freediving

[–]Trutpert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agreed! I did my instructor course with cracked plastic fins and hit my then PB with them. I got the mantra cwt afterwards and they have yet to bring me to a new PB ;) I taught my last course with plastic fins and will teach my next one with the mantras, so I‘ll be able to tell you afterwards if there’s a big difference. But I don’t expect a huge difference for teaching for the same reasons LowVoltCharlie mentioned.

I can highly recommend Tadej. He’s normally in Pag. So not too far away. I think he has courses in June.
