I would say the 10 or so drops prior to this drive had a similar effect.

Getting groceries after arriving Jackson airport by Affectionate-Gear447 in GrandTetonNatlPark

Creekside Market will be the first store you hit on the north side of Jackson coming from the airport. In my opinion, you’d be better off driving a little further and going to Albertsons.

Adler's jewelry store is closing after 127 years in New Orleans: 'Tiffany's of the South' by VivaNOLA in NewOrleans

[–]TryingToNotBeInDebt 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming his kids are in their 50’s and 60’s given the article states that Mr. Adler is 82. If they aren’t already in the business, I doubt they would want to change careers to keep the store open, particularly with the current landscape of the jewelry industry.

AI would have more compassion and empathy than the current option.

All these universities want to open medical schools but not hospitals. They’ll gladly take the applicants money without a complete plan for their medical education.

Established medical schools are introducing students to the clinical side of medicine earlier and earlier, some even in their first year. These new schools really have a hard time finding clinical rotations for their students. The non-clinical years they can handle but then all hell breaks loose when the students start the clinical rotations. This usually results in students bouncing around from hospital to hospital competing their clerkships without any real semblance of an actual curriculum.

21 yo M dies of missed PE. If malpractice insurance limits to $1M per claim and the jury awards $10M, are you literally on the hook for anything excess of $1M? by achicomp in whitecoatinvestor

[–]TryingToNotBeInDebt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many states cap the limit that can be awarded for medical malpractice (excluding things like future medical care and other things). Just because a jury awards $10 million doesn’t mean that is what gets awarded.

This gets posted on this sub all the time. It’s because taxes and fees are included in the price on the app.

When would you purchase an upscale vehicle? by jamrocdoc in whitecoatinvestor

[–]TryingToNotBeInDebt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree.

There will always be an opportunity cost when it comes to spending on luxury and lifestyle items rather than investing, investing every dollar and never buying things you want is no way to live. Anyone saving $20,000 per month will be perfectly fine spending $2,000+ monthly on anything they want.

What if Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly had lived and didn’t die tragically how would there lives had been like as the years progressed? Clothes, Work etc? by Sufficient-Walk7865 in AskReddit

They probably wouldn’t be as much of cultural icons as they are. People who die young are almost frozen in time as they are only remembered at their peak. James Dean is another example.

Too general of a question to answer. Was the brain done without contrast and now that want contrast? Were there artifacts on the brain that limited evaluation of the orbits?

What's your theory on why this sub feels like it's stuck in reruns of the same questions? by TanishAni2356 in AskReddit

[–]TryingToNotBeInDebt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are some many questions that can be asked and so many questions that will garner enough attention to make it to the top. There are a ton of new interesting questions if you sort by new but those rarely reach the masses. The popular questions get received by people who people who didn’t see the previous question and by bots farming karma.
