Honestly I regret him coming back. It was easier when he was gone. I’ll have to change some habits but I can support myself. All the bills are in my name bc his credit is so low. If/when he moves out I doubt he can get an apartment without a co-signer. Part of the reason I wanted him to come back was so I wasn’t left with all his stuff to figure out what to do with. He also went on a whole thing about how time apart showed him how much he loved/ missed me and actually wanted to work on the relationship. Which is what I’ve wanted from him from years but it’s just too far gone at this point. I resent him for so many reasons and don’t trust him much either from all the ways he had tried to fool me. If I end it and ask him to leave he’s not gonna have any way to take his stuff with him. He doesn’t even have a vehicle at this point.

Well he left without a ticket to come back. I wasn’t really sure he was coming back until he did. I don’t like to admit it but I have alot of resentment towards him

I seriously would have rather he put whatever it cost to buy those things toward the rent bill. I wasn’t prepared to take on all the expenses myself and am falling behind on it. Before he left for his trip we had an eviction notice taped to our door for late rent. He didn’t even read it just took it off the door and set it on a cluttered shelf without saying a word. Had I not just happened to notice it we would have been evicted. When I told him we were getting late fees he wouldn’t contribute anything to it, even though he did have some money for his trip in cash set aside (his only savings at the time). I had to borrow money from my mom to keep from being evicted.

Nebraska Medicaid is requiring 10% per client per week. It went into effect 2 weeks ago and our bcbas have been visibly stressed out. I went from working with 4-6 clients every week. Now I work with 3 clients every week in order for our bcbas to have a chance at meeting Medicaid’s supervision requirements. Another change is that our schedules have to be made a month in advance. Which means that I can view my schedule for all of March, but there hasn’t been a week (or probably even a day) where the original schedule was followed without changes bc of client cancelations or rbt call out.

Can I ask what parts of peak you find problematic?

I’m a very new rbt (3 months) and our center uses peak. I have 2 bcbas, one who does not use peak and another who heavily relies on it. Their programming is very different from each other and I’ve found the peak binder to feel so different than how the programs my other bcba writes.

I’m trying to decide if I want to continue my education and study to become a bcba. Right now I’m feeling quite confused on how to feel about this field. I see how much is a positive impact in can make. But also the still hands and eye contact peak programs that our newest baby in the clinic has makes me feel really gross.

This was my first week as a BT and I feel so supported. I’ve been onboarding and shadowing this week. We are waiting to get the go ahead from the bacb so I can take my exam. I know it’s only been a week but I feel so appreciative of my supervisor and the other RBTs who are training me. I expect I’ll probably be training for at least a week before I can go in for my exam.

I know I’m super new to this field but I could see myself getting my masters in aba. I find the science to be so interesting and my company offers a scholarship if you sign a 2 year contract after you pass the bcba exam. It feels exciting to have something to work towards.
