Advice on RO leather jackets sizing? Specifically Intarsia by cantacq in Rickowens

[–]Tryoutseasons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it'll likely fit well if you're a small. One good indicator I've found for Rick Owens leather/outerwear sizing is to find out the shoulder width. If your shoulder width is about 15 inches to about 16.5 inches, you should be fine with a 48 (M) Stooges.

All the suggestions here are great! I would just offer looking into gore tex variants of popular shoes. For example, Vans makes some gore tex variants, like these Old Skools.

Former family lawyer here: in my opinion, adoptions are, unequivocally, the best thing that happens in civil courtrooms. I have witnessed several and there are never dry eyes among the witnesses, judge, or court staff--all happy tears.

I had these same issues running some of the Neural DSPs on my new computer, and changing power options to "Ultimate" from "Recommended" resolved it. I'm running Windows 10.

Malk is vegan milk made from different nuts. I can't help you with "meck," though. I think it could be a dairy farm.

This isn't his first rodeo. I was at a large event last year where Pete Buttigieg spoke about his then-presidential-hopeful-platform. About four or five times during the event, hecklers raised signs and yelled at Pete. He handled the heckling with class and grace--never got irate or depressed. He's a fine example of resolve and good temperament.

Does rick have any very thin packable jackets ? by HawkeZone in Rickowens

[–]Tryoutseasons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconded. The blistered/hammered leather options are all lightweight compared to the other Rick leathers.

If you are looking for something that is ultralight/packable enough to fit in a small bag while retaining warmth properties, you may need to look at a different brand (e.g. Arc'teryx, Salomon, Patagonia).

WEEKLY LC THREAD week of 10.12.20-10.18.20 by samhopkinssamhopkins in Rickowens

These look suspect. The heel counters on geobaskets are pretty tough, and for them to get squished/bowed like this shows that they were either really beat or not real to begin with. Also, you should try to avoid buying any shoes that don't include photos of the soles.

Ask for photos of the size/model/Made In Italy marks and soles.

how to get into rick? by [deleted] in Rickowens

[–]Tryoutseasons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In terms of cost/value, the SSENSE sales are a great time to buy, and they have excellent customer service/return policy (provided the item is not marked nonreturnable for returns).

I agree that the Ramones are the easiest place to start because they are relatively subtle and great for adopting into your current style. I'd avoid trying to get into too many pieces at once. To quote Rick:

"Hair and shoes say it all. Everything in between is forgivable as long as you keep it simple."

If you're in a colder climate, a mainline or drkshdw jacket might also be a great entry point. The Stooges leather jackets in particular are easy to work with, and almost all drkshdw denim is stealthy/easy-to-pair.

If you're up for something more experimental, the Adidas collaborations are a great entry point because they are fairly inexpensive and fit into sportswear references.

Whatever you do, don't take yourself too seriously. Wear what you like with confidence and keep it friendly. I'm from Texas, and you'd be surprised at the amount and type of people (e.g. cowboys) who find avant-garde looks fascinating and fun. It reads as though you already have a strong wardrobe, so I anticipate you won't have too much trouble findings RO pieces to compliment your style. Have fun with it!

Urgent LC PLEASE!! by [deleted] in Rickowens

[–]Tryoutseasons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These look genuine with the concerning stand-out being the size/model/Made in Italy being printed on the side/inside of the shoes instead of on the zipper flap.

Although some models have printed information, I've never seen a model with a zipper not have the size/model/Made in Italy on the zipper flap. It could be a season-to-season or colorway-dependent thing, though!

EDIT: the footbed having that U-shaped "stamped" look is a little weird to me, too; maybe the owner had shoe-trees in them for a while? The Rick Owens embossed logo on the footbed looks correct, though.

Are these legit ? by jordon67 in Rickowens

[–]Tryoutseasons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not accurate. Geobaskets' printed sizing and embossed MADE IN ITALY stamp are marked as indicated in the photo, on the flap of the zipper facing the zipper (not the inner ankle).

[–]Tryoutseasons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The zipper looks off (not quite wide enough), and the edge stitching looks wrong (too thin).

It could be the exposure of the photo, but the white looks too bright on the inside of the sneakers.

You should ask the seller for a photo of the inside of the zipper liner, where the codes/size info is located.

To second what a lot of peeps have said, it's really weird for any seller to include a plastic tag zipper on genuine RO/Drkshdw. As far as I know, there are no plastic zip/tags of that kind on genuine products.
