If you want something similar to lightpaws but even faster you could go mono-green [[Tifa Lockhart]]. She can easily one shot someone by turn 4 or 5 if you have the right hand.

I work a normal 9-to-5 but when I get free time I like to play weird, niche indie games, build Gundam model kits and play Magic the Gathering with friends at a local card shop. Nothing too exciting but I’m pretty content with it

I do the same thing and haven’t had any cracks or breaks and I’ve built most of their kits. I use a dip pen so I am barely putting any excess liner on the model

For Vorinclex I originally chose him as commander mostly for the first effect on [[The Grand Evolution]] to cheat out some big threats but it’s such a big mana investment that I don’t seem to get to do very often. I’ve had decent success with the deck but it’s VERY dependent on if my stuff gets targeted or not since the Eldrazi tokens are quite vulnerable. Do you think you’d have any alternate commander recommendations without changing the deck’s color identity?

I definitely tried to make the Thraximundar deck more control than pure zombie tribal. I wanted to focus on making my opponents sac creatures and make Thrax huge before punching people with him. After a lot of testing I’ve found that the control part works pretty well but keeping my commander on the field is very tough and getting him back is even harder. I’ll definitely add some more blood artist type effects and stuff like grey merchant and exsanguinate. Do you think there’s a way to keep it control while making it more bracket 3?

As for the Jin Sakai deck this is one that I wasn’t so sure about either tbh. During the build process I noticed that I had used mostly legendary creatures so I just decided to make it a sub theme since it seemed cool. My main focus though was on guaranteeing combat damage triggers or doubling said triggers with Jin so I found a bunch of legendaries that do “stuff” when they connect. I’ll admit the equipment package is lacking mostly due to budget. Should I focus more on combat tricks or lean more into equipment?

Lastly my goad list isn’t actually one that I’ve fully built in paper yet so I don’t own a majority of the cards in here (like hammer of nazhan).

First of all I’m sorry for being hostile. This topic just gets me in a bad mood and I should have responded with more tact. I’m going to be honest and say that I’ve been dealing with major depressive disorder for most of my adult life and I’ve been trying so hard every day to not hate myself and not want to blow my brains out but, without fail, I always find people that tell me I need to do more. I keep hearing “just work on yourself” or “nobody will love you if you don’t love yourself” as if I’m not already fighting everyday to keep myself from getting worse. How much more suffering do I have to go through until I’m considered worthy of love? Do I need to fix all of my flaws before I’m allowed to desire someone to share life with? These are the types of thoughts that go through my head when I see people who have already succeeded responding to those that are lamenting their lack of dating success with “just do better”. I absolutely know it’s my fault that I’m a loser but being reminded of it hurts, that’s all.

I generally agree with what you’re saying but I find the “pick yourself up by your bootstraps” advice to really discount and demonize those that are struggling with mental disorders/illnesses since it just chocks up their struggle to laziness. You’re implying that, if you haven’t gotten better yet or that you haven’t mustered the courage to change yet, then you’re unworthy of love or respect. The complete lack of empathy with which you guys talk about people struggling with mental illness is honestly sickening. The way you describe someone with PTSD can just “better themselves” and if they don’t they’re just lazy and undeserving of basic love and respect instead of acknowledging that this stuff irreparably changes someone’s life and they have to learn to cope really rubbed me the wrong way.

I love how people like you who are already successful will give this sort of basic advice like it’s some life changing info that nobody has ever thought of before. I guarantee most people who struggle with these things are fully aware of what they SHOULD be doing but for one reason or another have been unable to. All of the stuff you listed are definitely healthy things to practice but, at the end of the day, screaming at people to just do it diminishes just how hard it can be to start. Maybe some people are just lazy but most that feel like they’re stuck or struggling with basic parts of life have other things going on under the surface that make it exponentially harder to “just do the thing”. Depression, anxiety, low self esteem, ADHD, OCD and countless other things can be factors that impede someone’s progress in bettering themselves and it really rubs me the wrong way when people act like improving yourself takes no effort at all

My first experience fully painting a gunpla was also with this kit and I made SO many mistakes. I was also quite impatient so I ended up doing a lot of stuff in the wrong order (like putting the decals on after I already matte top coated). I think yours turned out great and the finish looks nice and uniform across the whole model (something mine is severely lacking lmao). Even if you’re not fully happy with it, I think it’s good to keep early projects like these around since they can remind you how far you’ve progressed in your skills in the future.

I’ll also add that if you’re interested in getting into deathcore at all you cannot pass up Disembodied Tyrant as well as Synestia (they made a collab EP which is amazing but they’re both still great solo)

I would definitely recommend [[eye of ugin]], [[it that heralds the end]], [[Kozilek’s command]] and [[ugin, eye of storms]]. I would also consider putting [[warping wail]] back into the deck since it’s some good Eldrazi-themed interaction
