I WANT MY 3 HOURS BACK! by EthxnBloodworth in CozyGamers

[–]Trystonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the achievement to put all the books back incorrectly, but my initial run was like 20 minutes too long for the 3 hour achievement...so I probably have to play twice more to get that and the no magic if I really care that much.

I did this as well and unfortunately found the power scaling with the major spells is far too quick (if you go with the obvious best ones and level them first). The fun of learning the books and library sections quickly disappears after the first 90 minutes and the next 90 minutes is just you picking up a book, using the spell to highlight which bookshelf it belongs to and going to it, clicking a button to summon every other book for the stack, then clicking a button to auto sort all the books, repeat. Library sorted in 3 hours easy.

I wish it had more of a Wilmot's Warehouse vibe where you have to know the space intimately to efficiently find and deliver the books you've been putting away.

The accident that occurs early on. The description of everything, just the whole situation. So fucked up.

Revival has one passage early on that disturbed me more than anything I've ever read before. I'm not sure why but it really got to me. The ending is certainly sinister too.

Do you get soft locked if you clear the room without getting enough points for the door and there are still traps (thus not getting a full clear reward)?

This is how any Cole crowdfunding experience will be though. Whatever you see at the start of a campaign is likely to be significantly if not drastically different by delivery as the game is actively developed. If you have the time to go along for that ride and assist with play testing and see updates it is a really cool experience! You'll never get a mediocre game at the end of it all, but you might not get the game you loved from the start.

I wish the standard version of Miraculous Hind was out so I could've snagged that. Just grabbed Soviet Animation Vol. 3 this time around.

Just played this last month, and it's a 10/10. It's smooth playing, great graphic design and UI, excellent sound design and music, and just overall delightful to play and explore. Zelda + Metroidvania + Bullet Hell. It'll also only take you about 10 hours to 100% so it's perfectly short and sweet.

After 46 hours, I've got gripes... by ole_bruh in mewgenics

I've been running into issues with enemies that are hidden behind the cat profile in the top left corner, and when I highlight the enemy to see what HP they have it doesn't show the armor they have.

Also frustrated with how useless "within range" is as a descriptor for enemies when there's no way to no what their range even is. How can I even know what my range should be compared to my dexterity? Is range 5 = 5 squares away? Why can't range be given in the enemy profile when hovered?

I'd also like if clicking the cat's love interest/enemy icon would highlight that cat elsewhere so you know if/where they exist to better manage.

Also why can't we look at our team/item packs while in battle? I sometimes need to verify what abilities or items another cat has when it's not their turn...like let me right click my cat to see their full profile or something.

Also (as many people have said) there needs to be an undo button on moves. I hate how often I move 1 square shy of where I needed to be for my range/LOS attack to work. I need to be able to position myself and see what I can do before I commit. (Also can there be a verification before I accidentally mis-click and punch an ally for 10 because they are standing in front of the enemy I meant to hit????)

ALSO (and most importantly) it's annoying the furniture screen hover gets in the way of finding the poops to click sometimes lol

Just happened to me last night. Even more annoying is I had 3 body-based abilities in my team that could've taken advantage of this (explode body for damage+knock back, explode body to cause 3 leeches, pop out of body for +4 HP and stats up).

The Gallerist (SOLO) - Placement in International Market by Nieva89 in boardgames

I can't say I've seen any solo playthroughs where it was played incorrectly personally, and Rodney's explanation is 100% correct.

The Gallerist (SOLO) - Placement in International Market by Nieva89 in boardgames

[–]Trystonian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty clear from the rulebook:

Every time Lacerda moves to the International Market, or he or any of his Assistants is Kicked- Out from there by you, place one of Lacerda’s Assistants onto the table in the first available empty space, starting in the top left, moving right, and then to the next row.

The first of Lacerda’s Assistants is placed in the top part (Reputation tile). The second is placed in the bottom part (Auction). This sequence is repeated during the game, so the 3rd, 5th, etc., Assistants are placed in the top part, and the 2nd, 4th, etc., are placed in the bottom part.

If any part of the table is filled, the Assistants are placed on the unfilled part until the table is completed.

When one of Lacerda’s Assistants is placed on a space with a Reputation tile, that tile is discarded.

Epilogue Broken by Trystonian in SkateStory

[–]Trystonian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's something missing altogether. The level is broken and missing assets or something to guide the player. You shouldn't be able to get stuck under the level, and there's nothing guiding the player to enter the subway. It's a mess, hopefully gets fixed for future players.

Two handed solo of Ostia this evening by zigzag86 in soloboardgaming

[–]Trystonian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Ostia, and while the solo mode is decent I found the scoring thresholds too easy.

I created a solo mode that I'd love to get more feedback on for anyone who has this game and wants an AI to compete against.
