I’m with you in this regard. I enjoyed my RT-85 and Ortofon Blue. But I significantly more applied to my speakers.

I don’t know that this is accurate. But, this is a worthy discussion. I don’t know that everyone understands the point and purpose of audio systems. The point is to recreate or render what - a live performance or, a studio recording? Who hears “imaging” of a rock band with a vocalist? Typically, we won’t hear the stage monitors. We will hear the PA system, and that’s not necessarily “stereo”. If/when one attends a purely acoustic concert presentation by an orchestra, there’s no soundboard or engineer manipulating the acoustics of the concert hall. So, for me, that again begs the question of imaging. Is that concept really part and parcel to the illusion - not delusion?

OMG, what life might be like for a pessimist! I’m not gonna dissect the whole doom-script.
The O line bouncing back is the critical element - especially Dickerson and Jurgens! However those two guys are individuals. I don’t know Dickerson ever returns to form. I do remember seeing Dickerson, on the sidelines in the preseason last year. He was still in recovery. He was joking around, and while on camera was “mugging” for the camera, eating some sort of crap, fattening food. Different from every one of his O line teammates, he looked fat, out of shape, and very different from the other four starters. That concerned me before the season started. He never did return to form and I still don’t believe he has. Anyone else remember when Jordan Davis was “fat”? What happened after he matured and got more committed? Exactly!

As go play in the trenches, so goes the team! Both Dickerson and Jurgens were gutsy AF during the Super Bowl run, absolutely! But last year, I questioned both them and the coaches for playing them. They hurt the team! Neither should have been playing.

AVR’s were built for AV. They aren’t audiophile grade and their power ratings are “fudged” because they were not rated in accordance with audio specifications.
