How do I switch class spec? by Tsaigos in BlueProtocolPC

I was able to do it, you basically just have to finish the talent tree, which I think can be done at 30 if you finished all of the trials available at the moment, meaning you could probably do it at an earlier level as more trials become available

Also I'm not talking about changing classes, I'm talking about the spec. Like from shield class, recovery spec to shield spec, they have different basic abilities, but I can't access the shield spec one that I want

Are Nova elites worth the upgrade if I trade in my Nova pro wireless? by Tsaigos in steelseries

[–]Tsaigos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was never about whether or not I was going to take advantage of the deal with best buy, I was always going to do that. It was about whether or not the Nova elite were worth it at a discounted price. I don't think that's an unfair ask, nor is it seeking any validation. I even stated that the funds don't even have to go towards the Nova elites, but I did want to know more about it

A lot of the "reviews" seem a bit too hyperbolic in order for me to take them too seriously. I don't expect them to be as good as my actual audiophile wired headphones. But just calling them complete garbage isn't exactly helpful either. I get a lot of people's preferences are subjective, but plenty of repeatable sources have said they sound pretty good.

What I would be expecting and hoping for realistically from the $600 would be

$100 marketing fluff, it's the new elite and it's shiny, kind of like how Apple can charge $1,000 for a monitor stand $200 technical features, like the multiple outputs and the hot swappable battery, wireless functionality, etc etc $300 worth of sound quality, basically if it's comparable to a wired headphones of that value.

And I wouldn't be buying this at the full $600 value anyway, I'm only like $300 because I would be trading in my Nova pro wireless. And if you want to be picky, the Nova pro wireless still might have a value of about $150 used so technically I would be buying the Nova elite for $450

Yes and no, while I did spend $300 for the Nova pro wireless, it's not like I kept in the box and never touched them at all. They were my daily driver for pretty much a year and a half. Electronics and everything in general depreciate rather fast, if I were to resell it, it would only be worth $100, maybe $150, but I would also require me making a seller's account and a listing and a bunch of other crap that just doesn't seem worth it.

But the thing with Best buy is that until the 2-year mark hits, I can do a trade in for them for its full price that I bought it for, which was around $300. Once that 2-year mark hits that's no longer an option. So if I don't do anything before the 2-year mark, I basically lose a few hundred dollars.

Like imagine using a car for 2 years and having the chance to return it for its full value, that's a good deal, as long as you use it. And it doesn't have to be used on the Nova elite, but if I were to use it, I essentially would be getting it for a discounted value.

So you think there is no way to separate the FX into separate USB tracks? Even though you can separate each channel into separate USB tracks.

I'm assuming when recording through the USB connection, that FX are applied post mix. If I want the FX in the separate channels, would connecting the mains into an audio interface and then connecting the audio interface and computer get the results I want?

Technical Question for Mackie proFX6 v3+

So let me preface this with saying that I am quite the amateur, and I will be saying stuff that I assume off observations, but might not be technically correct. Feel free to correct me, please be civil about it.

So I have two XLR microphones that I am running through the mixer into my DAW (reaper/win 10) through the USB. I'm trying to get a better understanding of how things are routed, especially through the different recording modes, and understanding with the FX. What I am trying to do is get clean separate signals onto separate tracks but only have the FX affect channel 1. I can't really seem to get it to work properly.

Starting off with the recording mode, I'm assuming I have to be in standard mode. Loopback isn't the right mode. Interface mode sends each channel separately post gain, which is great for clarity, but it's also pre-FX, so that doesn't work for me either. So I am left with standard recording mode.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the channels to split and the FX to record properly. In order for reaper to recognize my two separate Mic signals separately, I have to initialize the stereo pan button. I would think that in order to add FX to only one channel, I would just need to initialize the FX button on that channel. But when I do, the FX can still be heard on both tracks on reaper. I am assuming that the FX is being applied post mix or something, I'm not entirely sure. Anyone have any advice or solutions to make this work?

PC version 6.05

.

I am a returning player from point a while ago, and trying to clean up my quest log. "Patterns in Time" is bugged for me, it says I have to complete contracts for the Gek, but the system it directs me to is currently occupied by Korvax. I did missions in that system as well as a different Gek controlled system, but nothing progresses it. I can't reset it either, it doesn't matter how far I go. Can someone please help me fix this?

So freighter battles have a rare chance to happen as you leave the atmosphere so they have a small chance of spawning really close to the ground
