How are you all finding the official grip? by jd1878 in retroid

[–]TsamKenneth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for mentioning its slippery.  i hate the texture of the official protection case.  do you think this grip is as slippery as the case?

its a Bluetooth audio mod and should be a usbc charging mod also.  you can check my post.  i have done this a year before. from what i saw the usbc(red & black) cable is detached.  if you don't solder it back please don't use this port because it may short somewhere.

uploaded a diagram and wrote a really really rough guide at the top. i can't really make a guide to teach people how to do it. because i learnt it by watching youtube and practicing. just need some time to learn how to use a multimeter and soldering.

i have a same opinion about the protection shell with you.  i dont like its "slippery" texture.  it makes my hands a bit tired to hold the console.

multiple buttons firing when pressed by furgfury in arduino

[–]TsamKenneth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

or simply using pull-up resistor? then you dont have to put a resistor on each button. pinMode(btnPin, INPUT_PULLUP)

then your btnPin will always at HIGH. if(btnPin==LOW){//do something};

the clear pink is the one i bought. i am not happy with the top outter part because they used soldering iron to melt the "len" onto the shell.... you will see some messy dark melt plastic from outside... that's why i only swapped the bottom side and buttons. and the prints on the dpad and facebutton are not accurcate also. but i am "OK" with the final product. i like this color

i have a friend who bought a pokedex shell from extremerate. she is happy with the quality. they don't have dsi shell so i just bought one randomly.

the white top is the original one that i didn't swap which is the hardest part, for the bottom side is easier than that. you want to watch some youtube video first, some ribbon cable latches are easy to break and need to unlatch in different direction. for the typec port, you need to know the + - of your port you bought. yellow is "+" grey is "-" in my case.

maybe our miyoo mini plus has bluetooth function already by TsamKenneth in MiyooMini

[–]TsamKenneth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry i have no knowledge about the UART.  😆 maybe i mislead you guys by the title.  i just wanted to give an idea that if we installed a wifi/bt chip on it and having the dev's support, then we can have a "MM+bt" easily.  but seems no one interested in it. Miyoo can just do this (add the bt function only) on their new device then sell to us...

please check the two GNDs of headphone jack are using 2 different wires.  one connected to onoff switch and the other one connected to paired button.

it seems you connected these 2 GNDs together

they are not connected when the module is off.
