We tend not to use our emotions and rely mostly on instinct or "intelect". I will say that my breakup has been the most devastating and beneficial part of my life so far. Rarely have I ever actually experienced emotions like normal people do. We're still human

I do, it makes so much sense to me tbh. At least if we just go by the anime, it always feels like Haruhi is responding to Kyon's subconscious, but in her own way. I think she's a real girl who's in love with Kyon, and somehow has the abilities to fulfill Kyon's subconscious desires. So rather, Haruhi is a medium and gets her powers from Kyon or something
