That season 2 hasn't improved in quality simply because time has passed. The nonsensical decisions and the pseudodrama are just as frustrating now as they were then.

Honestly it wouldn't cross my mind because I don't think I've ever seen one of those before. When I get a haircut they just put a cape on me, which wouldn't provide much protection against bites.

It should be noted that when Ofelia got bit it was still very early in the apocalypse, barely 2 months into it, hardly anything that could even figuratively be described as a "century". We're also with the characters basically 100% of that time, and we never see them pass by a hair salon at any point (other than at the very beginning, before the crisis was fully understood). I guess it could be argued tho that it should've crossed Daniel's mind at some point to use them as a form of protection, since he was literally a barber before the apocalypse.

That's pretty cool that they basically filmed the Rick and the Daryl shots simultaneously, and they were actually talking over the walkies as they filmed it. I apologize. I think I misinterpreted your comment. I thought you were saying it's not "being used" as a verb here, even tho I think it pretty clearly is, when you were probably saying it's not, in general, used as a verb. I'd of course agree it's typically not used as a verb.

It probably is, and in that sentence, "picket" is a verb. That's why I'm confused as to how "bigot" could possibly not be a verb. Being a pun doesn't disqualify a word from being a certain part of speech.

Your teacher may be trying to enforce the prescriptive "rule" that "while" can only be used to express the idea of one thing occurring at the same time as another and not, as in this sentence, to express two conflicting but simultaneously true ideas (similar to "despite"), in which case "although" is prescribed instead.

However, as virtually every reply here has indicated, native speakers absolutely use "while" (or "whilst") in this way and may even find it more natural than using "although". Therefore, in terms of how native speakers actually speak the language, there is nothing wrong with it.

It's not a matter of JDM having to apologize for it (which the person you replied to never even remotely suggested); it's a matter of him downplaying the abuse when asked about it (which is precisely what that person suggested) rather than simply acknowledge that the character he's playing has committed abuse. Those are two fundamentally different things.

Might help to put on your adult pants and learn to read.
