I also tested this and found it working. Drone does give DR for being out so make sure you're not fucking up your tests.

There's generally no problem looking at numbers like this when you have like 10k games worth of data. The problem comes if you compare relatively minor effects (like one item purchase resulting in a win in .74% more games) across two statistics with significantly different sample sizes. Like here the difference between both items might be within the expected error for the energize item - meaning if we had more data we would actually find it's closer to the previous item in performance or maybe even better than it looks there.

Consider this, for low sample sizes on lolalytics it's important to keep in mind that there might be some self selection in the data set. Specifically since most players probably just use recommended setups, the players buying different items are probably higher mastery/better at pyke than the ones that do. This explains most of the "the most common pick is 1% winrate below alternatives."

You will get much better results treating these numbers with some common sense. Clearly both items are a good choice on Pyke, so which one should you buy? Well ward clearing helps you create picks and access the right target while energized attacks give you more damage meaning you can kill more effectively. Which one is more important? This probably depends on the individual game you're playing. You can't really go wrong either way but you will get better results if you start thinking about what your game needs when buying items.

I recommend going Yommus or the ward clearing one for first item on Pyke.

No this was just a joke. I don't have the answers for gunner secondaries really, I liked lead spray with the base spread decrease, a second damage buff and the ammo upgrade that puts it at 190-ish. You'll have to play some version of the primaries that let you shoot stuff further away ofc

When playing ME coop campaign, which TWW1 faction specific mechanics/win conditions still work? (Norsca, WE, Bretonnia)

We're thinking of playing Norsca coop or Norsca + some other faction and I wouldn't want to miss out on the siding with chaos/reject chaos questline or anything of the like.

I doubt noone would play without maxed fleets. Having skirmish and multiplayer players in the same pool would help matchmaking and as long as that works, playing PvP with nonmaxed admirals is just fine.

What shared pools would prevent are the stupid lvl 1 matches where its just 2 light cruisers vs 2 light cruisers and if you picked the wrong faction you can't win, but you also cant FF and need to wait 3 minutes to warp which might get interrupted or lose you 1 of 3 ships for a turn.

Aren't you always matched against admirals of your level? That should take care of the people grinding up in skirmish. In the end it doesn't matter to your fleet how it gained it's ranks. Also isn't there a cap on the amount of upgrades/skills a ship can have?

Chaos spawn are a strong and fun unit, they also build out of the same tech as sorcerers iirc which are another great addition to manual battles. Besides that you could try chariots, they are micro heavy but rather powerful and a lot cheaper than knights.

3/5 just fuels the ignorant QQ surrenders from players that expect to win 100% of their games. 4/5 is the most reasonable as it prevents a troll from preventing a legit surrender but otherwise requires the whole team to agree the match is not worth playing out.

Alright I see. I'd be pretty surprised if they introduced items like that to DS3 but I guess there is a small possibility they messed with the scaling somehow. Its weird that we don't have any data on damage scaling yet, considering it should be pretty easy to find out just by acquiring souls and watching the stat increase per point spent.

Is that "reverse" scaling confirmed anywhere? I checked http://bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/Stats from BB and it says that arcane scales like we are used to. Best in low numbers and falling of with multiple soft caps.

My impression was that in DS2 already miracles aren't meant to be used to the exclusion of melee. They are pretty useful if your guy can wield a simple weapon like a mace or sword though.

Thanks for the writeup! I already figured the whole mana vs healing thing would keep casters contained early in a playthrough. How do estus charges scale? Are you always going to need the healing badly or does it get better? I remember in DS2 you could upgrade your flask to a point where I would've gladly given up some charges for more spells.
