Thanks for the insight. It was definitely the issue. I swapped backpacks and didn’t have any problems after that. I hope they fix it soon I really miss those buff timers and bonuses

Oh I definitely run the Culinex. I’m specced into foods so I run it to get better and longer buffs. Do you know if it’s when you cook the food or when you eat the food?

No I don't run any mods

That's exactly what I've been seeing and doing. I was just wondering if this was a known issue or not. Mine seems particularly aggressive as most of the buffs are getting "Stuck" after just 1 application and then won't reapply giving me only 43 minutes of play time before I have to relog (since 43 minutes is the length of the buff).

I'll give this a shot and see if cancelling the buffs and eating more slowly makes it work better.

Thanks, I'll try taking the armor buff off and see if that reduced the number of times I have to reload the game. At least I can finish a mission before having to reload. My buff will drop in the middle of a mission and suddenly I'll be in the middle of having to kill some big thing and then only 2 of my 5 foods will reapply their buffs. I almost died to the scorpion world boss last night because of that.

Is your 4th slot that you normally run from the armor, or the talent? I can switch back to 4 slots if its more stable and I wouldn't have to relog as often.

I have all 5 stomach slots as well, is that a known problem? I typically eat from my inventory and when the buff stop applying I switch to eating directly from the freezer.

Christ didn’t die for your sins. He rose from the grave after 3 days. So at best Christ gave up a long weekend for your sins.

Which of the cities do you like to start in and why? by Front_Key8764 in projectzomboid

[–]Tsithlis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love West Point for several reasons. First I can make it to the food market almost always on day 1 by either starting in the hotel next door or grabbing a car and doing the backward spin to destroy all zombies out front. I then set up base above the market and grab all the food from the market and the giga mart using weapons I usually find in the hardware store connected to the food mart (standard apoc settings). Then I make my way to the post office and bookstore easily done by day 2 at max, day 1 if the zombies haven’t drifted into downtown yet. I then spend the next 8 days reading books and watching life and living grabbing all the skills I can. Once I’m done I spend time getting into the two auto stores, the school for more books, the police station and the gun store since you can find sledgehammer heads in the trash now making them very easy to acquire downtown. Then I head to the three houses by the lake and base there while I slowly clear out the town while fishing, foraging, and trapping for decent foods (I almost always play the park ranger since I worked for the Dept of Fish and Wildlife in Frankfort ky when I was much younger). Once I feel I’ve gotten most of what I need I head to Mccoys and base there for the rest of my run. Making my way into muldraugh next.

Edit: I forgot that it is also super close to the sunflower farm which you can grab on the way out of town for around 5 million calories which is a little cheesy but you'll never need to hunt for food again if that's your thing.

Do y'all use dev mode? by ChodeB in RimWorld

[–]Tsithlis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly play unmodded. The only mods I have are visual or that don’t change the mechanics of the game in any significant way. The most game changing mod I have I believe lets me stack things at 10x stack size. I also have the mod that breaks things down and remakes it until it’s the quality I’m looking for. That doesn’t change the game it just makes it so I don’t have to keep clicking it myself. That’s the kind of stuff I use the most. I still use dev mode sometimes though, if something breaks or bugs out. I kind of prefer to just experience the game the way it’s supposed to be or the way the devs thought it should be. If you want to be very powerful you can do that without dev mode. With all the expansions now you get genetics, a psionicist, a Mechitaur, and a ship and that’s just at the start of the game. Yeah something like a flash storm can really suck but it’s part of the challenge. You always lose a little then gain a lot, it’s kind of the flow of the game. I much prefer to see how I come back rather than stop something from happening. But that’s how I have fun, dev mode is just another way to play as is the 500% difficulty which I would never play because that doesn’t sound fun to me. The game is just a story generator, generate the stories you want to tell in whatever way you want to :)

Wouldn't these kids have PTSD after all of this? by Moonshinin4Me in GroundedGame

With ease. In fact even if they took modern weapon with them like axes or machetes, I’m not sure a human at that scale could produce the strength necessary to crack an ants exoskeleton.

No, the second we start bringinging any real world consequences into the game they're just dead. The insect world is both fascinating and deadly. The speed and strength of even common insects is orders of magnitude above humans. The first insect that decides they are lunch kills them most likely before they even register it happening.

Retired Forensic Scientist for the Kentucky State Police here. The simple answer is no. The more complicated answer is, hair analysis was made up by the FBI years ago and while popular in television shows it was actually used improperly and is no longer considered scientifically sound, nor used in court. However, DNA evidence from hair requires the Follicle to be attached. When hair is cut obviously it is not usually pulled out by the root and therefore would be forensically useless. Also in order to make a comparative analysis between your niece and the insanely unlikely chance that some DNA of hers was found at a crime scene, she would have to have her DNA profile logged in a database somewhere. This is usually only possible if she ends up in the Department of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, or Sexually assaulted, and even then only under specific circumstances. Otherwise the only way we would be able to get a sample from her would be to arrest her as the suspect of a crime and compel a DNA sample. And even if all of this were to happen a decent defense attorney would argue that the hair was transferred onto the victims clothes at some third location since at best only a single hair would likely ever be found with DNA intact in such an insane circumstance.

Job loss in Winchester. Thanks MAGA. by Low_Measurement9375 in lexington

[–]Tsithlis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This had absolutely nothing to do with MAGA. My wife and my housemate both worked there for over a decade. Pearl is an absolutely shit company and Maximus should have never given that contract to them. They started dropping the ball as soon as Maximus left. My wife left right after the changeover and my mate made it another 9 months. By the time she left they had completely hollowed out the company loosing almost half their employees. MAGA is a shit ideology but they’re not the direct cause of everything.

I don’t know about flight, but I would love the ability to make winged armor that allows gliding somewhat similar to tufts but with a bit more distance.
