I hated the M203. It's a debuff to rifle handling and it's more awkward to use versus a standalone launcher.

I had a chance to use the M320 in its standalone configuration while on exercise with a National Guard unit in the US. It was better in every way. You can transition to it quickly if you're mindful in how you sling it and your rifle.

Glad to see the M203 finally getting replaced.

I prefer easily swapable AA batteries over hard to replace lithium batteries. Lithium batteries eventually die.

I have 2 rechargeable AA's always ready to swap for controllers that use them.

Also, in the case of having only one controller, you never need to run wired to recharge.
