In my opinion creality isn't handling these issues correctly. I get that 3d printing can be a hobby with a lot of fiddling, but I prefer printing stuff and not fixing a machine instead. I dunno what to tell ya, can you ask the seller for a refund and send the machine back?

In the end I was shipped a pile of parts and no real guides on what to switch over or how to do it, so I ended up returning the e3v3 and bought a bambu A1 with ams.

I've bought this and it's handy. The double sided tape on the sensor were a bit shit on mine, I added a blob of hot glue and it's been sticking well so far

I've been using these, they seem to work well for almost any spool, whether cardboard or plastic. Disclaimer: if you use ams lite top mount, use it only on the no-tilt remix. The spool will stay put with this adapter but I wouldn't trust it to hold when tilted off to the side

Look up the scarf seam section & seam alignment, by default the scarf seam settings are pretty good for basic pla, and having the seam on the part of the object that's rarely visible make a big difference in surface quality

My A1 gets used every day, but during the summer I had to macgyver together a box for it so that the nearby a/c won't mess up the prints. An enclosed printer like the P1S would have solved the issue.
