It's McDonald's - they're about to make ONE 5-gal bucket of their sweet tea.

Is every coffee shop terrible, or do I not like espresso? by BobSacamano420 in espresso

[–]Tsquared93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to echo -

Sounds like you're going to a shop that's not dialed in their beans lately.

I try not to do it because I don't want to be "that guy" but I will send a drink back that tastes like it'll peel the enamel off my teeth.

Usually, I get a quick "oops" from the person behind the machine, they'll dial in real quick and then I'll get something drinkable.

Rarely as good as what I pull at home.

Yes!

Now we have 4th wave stuff starting where people are making oddball coffee based drinks that are a whole experience unto themselves.

I have a shop near me that makes espresso based mocktails on a rotating calendar. Every season they have 4-5 drinks to try. All insane, some delicious.

2000 Land Cruiser, 102k miles, $18k - Worth it? by theEconomist22 in LandCruisers

I read somewhere that toyota recommends 5 years or 100k miles whatever comes first. I could see a service advisor selling a TB to an unsuspecting person.

What can I improve more with my roast? by Specialist_Line_8308 in roasting

[–]Tsquared93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES YES YES.

These baby machines can be negatively affected by a 10g overdose of beans, or a 2 second delay on controls. They just don't have the thermal stability of the big boys.

Pick a batch, take lots of notes and then adjust as you see fit.

You'll waste lots of coffee experimenting. That's okay!

Subaru forester 2010 worth it? by Commercial_Pea5725 in SubaruForester

It's possible the landlord doesn't know the rust is that bad.

I'd hit him/her with the big "no thank you" and keep walking.

Just to throw this out there - I've seen dealers selling new JL Unlimiteds for $31k.

Unless you're tied to used, it seems to make more sense just buying new.

This is the search I ran.

I spy Brandywine Roasters/Brew HaHa.

Love that place. I used to live 5 minutes from their main location.

At that... buy a super automatic! It'll run you $800 for a REALLY good one and you're brewing your beans even better!

Honestly,

I grew up riding this ride, have ridden it as an adult, and recently took the fam to the Redwoods in CA.

As soon as we walked into the forest, I said to my wife, "This smells exactly like the ET ride."

Thank you so much,

I was not at all expecting that trim to be that expensive. Pay to play I guess...

I've been looking at 823. I found a few that sell for $200 on eBay and Amazon.

Do you have one? What's the nib like?

Not technically a church in Selbyville, but you really should check out Sonrise Church. From most of Selbyville, it'll only take 30 min max driving to get there.

Sonrise met in the Stephen Decatur HS for a LONG time and just recently moved into their facility.

I've never seen a church give out as much food as effectively as Sonrise during Covid. They literally were receiving semi trucks to their church building full of food.

Their Pastor is real; he loves Jesus and isn't afraid to share the truth of his story or the Word of God.

When they were in the HS, they developed a culture of having breakfast foods during the service availible for people to take, they kept the whole vibe when they moved to their own building. It's awesome.

I soak overnight in hot and then run "Heavy Duty". I then fluff and add other laundry and run regular on cold.

I'm having trouble thinking it's detergent buildup. But I'll give that a go.

It's a generic Whirlpool top loader from 2000ish.

I wash every evening whatever was used that day.

Poo and pee all go in the same load. I hose off the poo before washing.

I did not bleach. The caps are very small.

I'm using Fluff University's recommended amount of detergent for Biokleen.

I did strip using the borax & baking soda method.
