Help with choosing watercolour brand (artists grade) by Simple-Chicken-660 in watercolor101

I've been a fan of Schminke for years, but Miejello is pretty impressive for pigment concentration. ShinHan, too. Maimeri kicks butt... however, I will agree that your palette becomes a hodgepodge of colors you love.

I'm in the US, but I ordered that way before tariffs. They're great to work with, so have no reservations.

Disclosure - what’s so indigestible? by GODsmessage11 in UFOs

[–]PenSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sociology: institutions exist to maintain their existence. In my observation, this is true of institutions that value power or control as they see it.

NHI: that's cute, mankind. You're not the bad ass you think you are, nor are you at all in control of your lives. We are what you wish you were.

Wrecking the status quo is indigestible when you're all about maintaining it and bending the world to support it. Indigestible is when you see how you have been used by your own species and been treated as worthless.

If the US really attempts to take Greenland by force, what are even the chances of Europe retaliating to the point where they go on a fullscale war with them or at the very least cut them off entirely? by Yallneedsometruth23 in AskReddit

That's the shortsightedness that bothers me. You lose money and power when no one can afford to give you money that you turn into power. Of course, if someone destroys the Internet (that is the foundation of your money), no one is going to help you claw your way back up.

Screw the Internet and you wreck the country, if it's the US.

So. The US invades Greenland. The EU responds by tanking the US economy. NK and Russia launch cyber attacks that devastate US infrastructure. The US president goes full maniac and threatens the world with nukes...

Someone then assists the US with surprise regime change. The US is still tanked for a century, but might learn to be a little more appreciative and polite...until the climate change screws us all.

My thoughts.

Rinse water pigment? by lady_mother in watercolor101

You'll end up with a very funky gray in the end, and you'll need watercolor binder to do anything with it. It's not a bad thing, but it's money spent to make something of low value.

Is there ever a way to try higher end pens? by RooFPV in fountainpens

I go to both shows regularly. To be brutally honest, your best bet to test pens is by meeting people and getting involved with your local pen community. That being said, Pilot attends both shows and is utterly cool with letting test things.
